The Stage's Placement ( Scratch 3.0 )

I notice in the GUI or preview of Scratch 3.0, that placement of the stage is now on the right, this is not a good decision in my opinion, but it is what it is.
Here comes the suggestion though :
Can we have a choice of where the stage is?
This will be a compromise I guess, I'm not going to fight to get it back, I just want an option of where the stage is.
I very much prefer the stage to be on the left, but some want it on the right so
I think this option would be best for the two sides, those who want it to the right or left.

I think they should add a “view” menu to control where the stage is, what tool-bars show up, and the colours of the blocks.

So support?

Did you know that in Scratch 1.x the stage was on the right?
They changed it for 2.0, and now they're changing it back, apparently.

Anyway, I don't really have a problem with it: it actually makes a bit more sense since instead of stage-palette-scripts area it's palette-scripts area-stage (so the scripts are in the middle).

I know scratch 1.x stage was on the right, I hated it personally from the beginning.

I support, since I am used to the Scratch 2.0 design and don't want it to change.

It seems they've tested it with real people, and their results show that having the stage on the right makes more sense.

Why has the stage moved to the right side of the editor?
As we tested different prototypes of Scratch 3.0, people found the interface more intuitive and understandable with the blocks palette on the left and the stage on the right (with the scripting area in the middle). Fun fact: This setup is similar to the arrangement of Scratch 1.0, the original version of Scratch.

But still, some are used to the left now, so some will most likely change, and also think about the new generations, the are VERY used to the editor on the left.

Here's a mockup/comparison:
Stage on the left:

Stage on the right:

If something looks different than what is usually supposed to be seen, that's because I have an extension. It looks almost the same, so no need to worry about it.

Because of these images above, I support.

I especially like how the stage on the left one looks.

I support this, using inspect element skills to make the stage on the left is very easy to do, it just takes a couple of clicks and dragging an element.

How did you do this? I mean, can you say the steps?

I've been using Scratch for nearly 6 years and I find it much easier on the left. Support!

Hey, that's actually a pretty good idea! Being able to customize the setup would probably make it much easier for different Scratchers. I don't really have a preference as to where the stage is located, but I'd probably just stick to having it on the left. Have you suggested this for the 3.0 update yet?

I support this being an option. Also, I made a userstyle for this that changes the layout along some other formatting bugs:
.gui_stage-and-target-wrapper_69KBf {order: 1;}
.gui_editor-wrapper_2DYcj {order: 2; padding-right: 0.5rem;}
.backpack_backpack-header_6ltCS {border-top-left-radius: 0.5rem;}
.asset-panel_wrapper_366X0, .gui_extension-button-container_b4rCs, .injectionDiv {border-bottom-left-radius: 0.5rem;}
.asset-panel_wrapper_366X0 {border-bottom-right-radius: 0.5rem;} /* since the corner is not already curved */
body {overflow-y: hidden;} /* since the scrollbar can sometimes appear */
Also, anyone else experiencing that the costume editor is too tall and shoves the backpack off the bottom of the screen? I noticed this when I zoomed out and the backpack came back.

I hadn't noticed that, since I always stay zoomed out (Scratch 3 is Not friendly to people who are using very old screens).
