Update the bad word detector
I think the bad word detector needs an update
1. Ok when someone types in a bad word in a project the bad word detector does appear but it leaves it here on when someone leaves the project without removing it, it's still there So have it automatically censor it if they leave the project without removing the bad word.
Phase 1: Bad Word detector appears on project (Goes to Phase 2 if user puts a bad word like, 5 times)
Phase 2: Alert is sent to user
Phase 3: lose the privilege to edit your project's description/credits (For 15 minutes)
Phase 4: A one week ban (Ban time doubles if you continue to make bad words)
I've been thinking that phase 3 time doubles up based ion how many times you've been banned/i]
I also been thinking that If you put like 10 swear words into your description instead of going to phase 1, it just goes straight to phase 2 but if more than 10, it goes to phase 3 instead
It would also be nice if the bad word detector bans the user if they post to many bad words in a short period of time
Here is a mock-up image for phase 2:

2. Remove the X button on the bad word detector because people could use that as a way to get rid of it So have it always display so no one can forget about it until they remove it.
This is what I'm talking about

3. When the bad word detector appears, it makes a sound to tell you that you typed in a bad word.
4. Have the bad word detector go off if they say “Get rid of the Extensions policy!!!!” or anything related to it.
5. Add any known links leading to browser extensions..
6. Make the bad word detector go off if you type in something like B** W***.

Update the bad word detector
Edit #2: Wow, looks like the OP has made my suggested changes! Ok, support!
Support. However, maybe give them a warning before an alert. What if someone accidentally clicks out of the project and didn't fix the bad word? I think an alert for not fixing a bad word one time is a little harsh. :/
Edit: I see that the OP has been updated. I will give my opinions on the new edits now. (Grammar fixes in bold)
————
In conclusion, I have changed my answer to Semi-support. I know there were more changes to the OP, and this is a cool idea, but it needs more thinking put into it.

Phase 1: Bad Word detector message appears on project (Goes to Phase 2 if user puts a bad word like, 5 times)Good.
Phase 2: Alert is sent to userOk.
Phase 3: Lose the privilege to edit your project's description/credits (For a while)I feel like it should only be about 15 minutes. A while seems too long, especially if the user is working on his/her project.
Phase 4: A banStill, I feel like that's a little harsh. Maybe ban them after going through the 4 phases multiple times in a very short period of time. (Like, 1 hour?)

Yeah, fair point. Maybe it gives a pop up like when you haven't saved. Support. However, maybe give them a warning before an alert. What if someone accidentally clicks out of the project and didn't fix the bad word? I think an alert for not fixing a bad word one time is a little harsh.

No support - a bot capable of punishment is asking for tons of false-positives.

Update the bad word detector
I semi-support.
It adds a new layer of security, but along with that, complexity.

Wait, how would the Scratch Team figure out if it was intentional or not? Phase 4: A ban
I've been thinking, it does not go to phase 4 if it wasn't intentionally done.
I also been thinking that If you put like 10 swear words into your description instead of going to phase 1, it just goes straight to phase 2 but if more than 10, it goes to phase 3 insteadSo 5 swear words is better than 10? The kids still learn a new bad word either way.
I like it, but it needs a bit better grammar. Here is a mock-up image for phase 2:
Could you elaborate more on this please? I'm not sure I understand what you mean here. 2. Remove the X button on the bad word detector because people could use that as a way to get rid of it So have it always display so no one can forget about it.

I fixed some of it but for the for the mock-up image, It wouldn't let me put in the right grammer due to the inspect not letting me

It's borderline a rule though, because if you bump too often it can be considered spam. Plus following this recommendation keeps everything fair for everyone- if one person can bump every hour but someone else only has the access to bump it every day, whose thread will be noticed?https://en.scratch-wiki.info/wiki/Scratch_Etiquette#Scratch_ForumsIt says ‘it’s best'. Update the bad word detector
add all political words, names, phrases to the bad word list since any mention of the sort ends up being a contentious assertion therefore causing fights between scratchers.Kind of goes against the comunity guidelines a bit: also I propose to
Since some of these things can be classed as “political”, it wouldn't be very welcoming to ban you from discussing them. Scratch welcomes people of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

I agree. Another big issue with this system is that the bad word detector is already issuing a lot of false positives. This could cause a lot of users to be unfairly banned.add all political words, names, phrases to the bad word list since any mention of the sort ends up being a contentious assertion therefore causing fights between scratchers.Kind of goes against the comunity guidelines a bit: also I propose toSince some of these things can be classed as “political”, it wouldn't be very welcoming to ban you from discussing them.
