If I was having trouble with a script and went looking at old posts, would thanking the user bump that old topic?

No, I think that would cause even more irrelevant topics to be bumped back up to page 1. If that is the case then I kind of like this idea, only that I don't think it is entirely needed but it would be a cool change.
