Exporting project as web app (Xbox/PlayStation/Android/iPhone Support)
I think it would be really cool if a project could be exported to be a web app. What I mean by a web app is a webpage that is your fullscreen project, and the page's html would have the required tags to make it load as a app on Android, iPhone, Xbox, and Playstation. For example this would let Scratch games be able to be played on Xbox or PlayStation! Though with consoles we need to add controller support to Scratch 3, which is possible considering it is still in development. Anyway what do you all think?

by the way I am talking about only the viewer not the editor… Kind of like the current embed feature.

Microsoft/Sony would probably block it, or it would require a rewrite, unless consoles support HTML.

I know the xbox one has Microsoft Edge (it even supports gamepad intergration!) and I'm pretty sure PlayStation has a web browser too. Scratch 3 is based on HTML and JS so it should work in any modern web browser, including the ones on consoles. This would completely override the stores so you can just open it in a web browser. So, they couldn't block it! Microsoft/Sony would probably block it, or it would require a rewrite, unless consoles support HTML.

Also one thing I like about this approach is that all that is needed is a link. So no review processes, and it works on almost all devices!

Can you also do this for 3DS/Wii U because they have a browser too

Probably, if it supports WebGL. Although with the Wii U the controller uses a completely different system to interact with web apps. Can you also do this for 3DS/Wii U because they have a browser too

Full support! An app is way easier than having to go on the web for it.

Has anyone looked at this:

There are many ways to do this already. It being built in has already been rejected.

Well, that's also because in the past, porting to a console or mobile device was pretty involved. Since just about any browser nowadays will support 3.0, there's a much lower barrier. I'm not completely sure how controller support would be implemented, but it's not completely out of the question - maybe that could be discussed here. (Even if I'm not sure it's something our dev team would want to do.) Has anyone looked at this:

I think you an look for a low price developer to help plus you will need a Xbox/PS4 to test it and maybe a 3DS/Wii U (Note: Wii U is no longer in production so get a used Wii U on Amazon to test it on Wii U)Well, that's also because in the past, porting to a console or mobile device was pretty involved.
