Have USB controllers added to extensions
Sorry, I didn't know.They know this suggestion exists. Look at 2.7 on Why doesn't scratch see this forum when it came out in 2018? (or whenever it came out from a long time???) This is a forum of like minimum 100 pgs. Should be noticeable to the Scratch Team.The Official List of Rejected Suggestions. It links to this topic, and TOLORS is cited by many Scratch Team members, meaning a good few of them likely have read the list before. Furthermore, TOLORS was made by an ex-ST member (Za-Chary).
As for why this suggestion isn't implemented yet, the Scratch Team has a ton of other stuff to do. They've been working on server maintenance for a while, and dark mode has been in the works for 3/4 years, as well as a ton of other stuff I don't know about.

I think if Scratch were to do this. It would probly be a connect thingy, like wireless head phones. it checks for nearby conmtrollers to connect with, in a 5 yard radius or something

(#2763)Sadly, having official support for Scratch on consoles is rejected on The Official List of Rejected Suggestions.

(#2764)Scratch wouldn't handle this, the OS would. If the controller is connected to Windows, Linux or whatever is running, scratch will see it no matter how it's connected.

Actually, the TOLORS doesn't refer to this topic. I looked at the link. Different. And the topic is basically “USB Controller support”, not “Scratch Editor on consoles”.They know this suggestion exists. Look at 2.7 on Why doesn't scratch see this forum when it came out in 2018? TurboWarp has this already, as well as that one forbidden Chrome extension. It's really useful though. Support.

set lightbeam color to [#aaaaaa] :: extension //if equipped
set adaptive trigger strength to [10] with frequency set to [5] on trigger (1 v):: extension //if equipped (like on ps5 controllers)
controller [x v] roll :: extension reporter //if equipped, again(like ps5 controllers)
//the opinions are: x, y and z

(#2776)Those are proprietary features only for the PS5 controller, so adding them to the extension would be hard. And I'm pretty sure ONLY the console can interact with that stuff (except gyro because that is standardized).—SNIP OF SHAME—i got more ideas!!!set lightbeam color to [#aaaaaa] :: extension //if equipped

(#1)(plus it would make people ask for 3d scratch and we all know that is never going to happen)
Q: what about wii remotes?
A: Most operating systems don't support wii remotes without extra software, and this could get a lot of people confused. pointing the wii remote also wouldn't work because you would need the wii sensor bar, which many people won't realize and create MANY help threads to try and get it to work. motion control and point sensing would be VERY hard for the scratch team to implement, and would only work for wii remotes. there will also likely be lots of suggestions about nunchuk support, classic controller, motion+, and every single other thing that can be connected to a wii remote, which each part being used extremely little. these controls also don't translate to mouse/keyboard well, which will likely result in tons of projects that only work with a woo remote, and leave people unable to play them. it also doesn't make sense what the blocks would be for this, they would either not be useful or be far too complicated for most people to use.
TLDR: too much work, doesn't make sense, too confusing for users, suggestions spam, and unplayable projects.

(#2778)Yes, you are correct. I've been doing research on controllers/gamepads recently and there is a standard called “D-input” I'm not completely sure, but I think that one has lightbar support. For the extension, we would most likely use X-input because it is more modern (but supports fewer of the obscure features.)(#2777)some others support it(#2776)Those are proprietary features only for the PS5 controller, so adding them to the extension would be hard. I think you were trying to get your text to center. The BBCode tag for that is center (you add on the brackets on each side). I think Scratch should add these new blocks in here

Example:
