Commercial spamming
well i ask too many questions
Anyway, sometimes you may be watching a commercial on TV or listening to one on the radio (umm.. am I the only one who still does that?), and there might be a funny scenario in it that you want to animate.
And let's say you end up finding that commercial on YouTube or somewhere you can get the audio, and, well, you want to put it in an animation on Scratch.
But.. is it considered commercial spamming? I mean, in no way whatsoever am I affiliated with any businesses, so I'm not trying to advertise my non-existent business. I'll also avoid putting the name of the business in there (unless the character so happens to say it in the scenario), therefore I'll cut out the parts where the business's personal info (such as the website, phone number, etc.) is mentioned and I'll try to make sure I only leave the part that I wanted to animate.
If push comes to shove (well, just generally), I'll also be sure to put a note in the description that says something like:
TL;DR Can I use audio from commercials (without the business's personal info) in an animation on Scratch, or is this considered commercial spamming?

Commercial spamming
I guess it's okay, since it's only used for entertainment.
I doubt you'll get an alert for animating a silly Oxi-Clean parody.

Since it's a parody, it should be okay.

I would think it only counts as commercial spam if you spam anything/anyone. If your just making a project I don't see a problem.

Or Geico for that matter, their commercials can be pretty funny I guess it's okay, since it's only used for entertainment.

Alright. I don't want it seeming like I'm trying to advertise a business though. Since it's a parody, it should be okay.
Well.. I think trying to advertise a business in any way on here is against the CG and is considered “commercial spam”..? I would think it only counts as commercial spam if you spam anything/anyone. If your just making a project I don't see a problem.

If the name of the business is not mentioned then how could anyone object?

I think it's only commerical spam if you try to advertise the product or service. I once animated the Tac Light commercial.

Yes, Hobson-TV has animated many commercials. I think it's only commerical spam if you try to advertise the product or service. I once animated the Tac Light commercial.
