I think as long as it's not over the top, it's fine. What you're describing doesn't sound like a problem

Alright. Considering it's not even the real color of blood and could just look like Kool-Aid, juice, paint, etc., then I don't know how “violent” it'd look. Especially considering he's almost perfectly unharmed a few seconds later.

If it's a shade of magenta-maroon-red-violet then would it be too close to the color of actual blood?

Something like this? Of course, I only use it sparingly and don't try to make it look like he just got killed..

I guess its fine then, if you are only using it for little cuts that could be healed with a band-aid and a kiss from your mommy. (lol why did i just type that)

Yeah, it's relatively small damage. Probably a little worse than something that can be fixed with a simple bandage, but not something that looks like he needs to go to the ER.

Anyway, rather than his blood being crimson or even red for that matter, it's a maroon-reddish-violet sort of color.
Some of the projects he's in may involve him being injured, therefore, some blood. But nothing to the level of “He gets killed and there's a huge pool of blood”. It's pretty much at most a somewhat bleeding scratch or some coming from his mouth and at most it's only shown for a few seconds.

TL;DR Does discolored or unrealistic blood make any difference to if a project is allowed or not?

Edit: the shade of it is actually something like this.
