Made Edits To... Activity Notification
This is a forum supporting the idea of the What's Happening section showing if someone makes edits to a project.
Here, I'll give an example. Say I make a project. Then a couple days later, I edit that project. With my idea, all of my followers would see on the What's Happening section that I edited the project.
Support(including me): 8
There have been a couple spam worries, so for all of you who only read the first post, here are the anti-spam ideas:
-A button you press to announce that you made edits in the What's Happening section that has a two minute cooldown before you can use it again.
-Only announcing edits once the creator finishes editing for the time being.
-The ability for the creator of the project to turn on and off editing notifications.
-The ability for the follower of the creator of the project to turn off editing notifications.

I like that idea! That would be helpful when you want to release an update, and for everyone to see!
However, I propose an edit (see what I did there?), why not make it an option to be able to notify others of the edit. For instance, I have a project that I created for a studio, and I update the project quite often due to the change requests many ask me. If the notifications were optional (for both sender/receiver), that'd probably be more supported.

That would make a lot of sense to me as well. I like that idea! That would be helpful when you want to release an update, and for everyone to see!

And I like this suggestion too; it's something new. I have games like Scratch Tycoon that receive updates, but each update doesn't bring many new views, even with the effort made for the update.

I like this idea but there would be a problem when you spam moving scripts then going out of your project so all your followers see is your project. There would have to be a solution for that. But I do like the idea!

I have a solution. It would only say that they made edits to something when the person left the page for the project. How about, an even better solution, is to just mark it as an edit when you leave so that people get messages for it? If you don't want people getting messages for really minor changes, then don't mark it as such, and people don't get the message.I have a solution. There would be anti-spam protection so you could only press it once every 60 or so seconds. No, that wouldn't work… People could still spam it…I like that idea too.How about, an even better solution, is to just mark it as an edit when you leave so that people get messages for it? Also, you would only see this if you were following the person, so why would you follow a spammer? There would be anti-spam protection so you could only press it once every 60 or so seconds. No, that wouldn't work… People could still spam it…I like that idea too.How about, an even better solution, is to just mark it as an edit when you leave so that people get messages for it? What if they're still good scratchers? Also, every sixty second could still result in a lot of spam. Ok, every two minutes. They would have to be a pretty devoted spammer to just wait two minutes over and over again to press a button. And I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't want to lose followers, because if someone was like that I'd just unfollow them. No projects are worth it.What if they're still good scratchers? Wait wait wait! I've got an idea! When they press the button, they have to have made an actual edit to the project. Here's a better one: The follower gets to choose whether or not to get notifications for certain users editing their projects (that way, if they spam, the follower can just disable ti). Then, the messages will only get through if both the user editing the projects clicks the “notify” button, and also if the follower hasn't disabled it. Does that work? Wait wait wait! I've got an idea! When they press the button, they have to have made an actual edit to the project. If they haven't, then nothing happens!
