“Sign in as *name from school account*” one thing I hate about school accounts on google is that it doesn’t show you’re logged in but you secretly areit infuriates me when I try to access something and it says “OH WELL YOU ARE LOGGED INTO *school account*”
I hate that. I wish I never logged into my school account on my personal device.

(#1741)Yeah I made that mistake once. What you need to do it sign into your personal account ONLY and then under that chrome user, add your school Google account, but don't add another chrome profile when it asks. (I'll add a screenshot when I get it) But DON"T say yes to move to another chrome profile when it asks.“Sign in as *name from school account*” one thing I hate about school accounts on google is that it doesn’t show you’re logged in but you secretly areit infuriates me when I try to access something and it says “OH WELL YOU ARE LOGGED INTO *school account*”

Even the educational stuff that your teacher forces you to use?It caused almost everything to be blockedTo clarify, the botched firewall was causing google to be blocked? This just happened a few hours ago:
One of the desktops in a classroom had a reeeallly botched install of some firewall. There's a network firewall, but also one installed on the desktops (that means they're more strict) which was blocking almost everything, including the entirety of google.com and its subdomains, and even the “this page is blocked” page itself! (the text would load, but no images or css)

My school hasn't blocked chess.com yet. Last year everyone was playing chess in class, so I would have expected it to be blocked this year. I guess not chess com blocked under category ‘education’

Bringing this back from the dead after a month to send a Scratch notification to countless people telling them that I'm incredibly annoyed that the software an exam was on cut me off ten minutes before the end.

I was finished - I was checking through it, though I could have used those 10 mins on one specific question where I wasn't totally sure of what I wrotethe benefit of finishing tests quickly is real Bringing this back from the dead after a month to send a Scratch notification to countless people telling them that I'm incredibly annoyed that the software an exam was on cut me off ten minutes before the end.

They do not want browser exensions for scratch mentioned, not extensions of any kind.If you want to use a VPN (of any kind- if Chrome's is blocked on a Chromebook you're not changing that), then this is greatly simplified if you can use browser extensions (although if you can we can't tell you how because the ST doesn't want them mentioned on the website…). Otherwise… there are ways, but they're slow, run slowly, aren't guaranteed to work, and may also be blocked. You can't for that exact reason. How do you use a VPN? I've been struggling to get around the blocking of many websites, and I want to use my school Chromebook that is way more portable and easier to handle than a traditional PC.
Here's my local device info if you need it at all:
My browser / operating system: ChromeOS 14541.0.0, Chrome 126.0.0.0, No Flash version detected
I want to use the Chrome VPN built inside it.
This being said, you could probably boot a different OS if you know a few tricks, but if you don't own the Chromebook that's a bad idea.

Not everyone can change passwords, in my district you have to be in 5th grade or higher to do that, and I’m not 4th grade or below.change your password. My school has student id passwords, and i changed mine My school has set all of our passwords as our student id number which are all printed out and.put on a keychain so anyone can see any password.
Cmd prompt isn't blocked but of course there is no admin. Some sites are blocked but turbowarp isn't. Also I can install any extension on chrome.
