What if users could have their own private forum pages used as sandbox testing areas?
I recently was writing a long forum post that I wished I could have saved as a draft. I then realized that the scratch forums do not include a sandbox area for testing out posts. I know that we do have a preview option, but this does not help if you want to save it for future publishing, or testing out posts. (This might not make any sense, but some things display differently in the preview vs the actual post. Details here: https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/discuss/topic/234843)
Here is a quick breakdown:
As per request, I created mockups of how it would appear.

- Users would have the ability to save posts as drafts to their sandbox for future publishing.
- Users could also create posts in their sandbox to test out forum formatting.
As per request, I created mockups of how it would appear.

It was only yesterday that I wanted to save my progress on a topic and I think that many other scratchers have been faced with this problem as well.

yes, support, especially if you want to reference something and don't want the page refreshing. Also, maybe describe how you would save it more (UI, location etc) I personally would want it next to the summit button.

Who would be able to view your sandbox? How would it be moderated?

Since it says “your own private forum pages” I assume it would only be visible to the owner. Maybe it could be a special link at the bottom of the page, like how you change your signature. Who would be able to view your sandbox? How would it be moderated?

I support this, but I have the same questions as Sigton, so until answered, support level is 65%.

Moderators would be able to patrol the pages, but it definitely be much more difficult. What if a section appeared for moderators to look at an overview of posts in everyone's sandboxes?

I would prefer an answer by the topic creator though, I accept that answer, however, it is only a guess based on what they think. It as been answered above #9 I support this, but I have the same questions as Sigton, so until answered, support level is 65%.

or at least above %70 doneYou can copy-paste the BBCode somewhere and save it, but this idea would make it easier. Support. i wanted to save my progress just yesterday ( 3/9/2017/ ) yet i couldn't and i didn't want anyone to see it until it was %100 complete.

If you were writing up a big post for a collab or a sticky guide
couldn't you just copy it into a word processor and save it? At the moment I can't see many uses.
