If we were able to change our usernames like in minecraft, but Scratch has a base name that they can still ban us from, would that work?

If you “READ THE WHOLE THING” from the sticky, you can see that the problem isn't about banning people, it is about server issues and confusion.

Yes, that may be how it works, but it doesn't change what was stated in the rejections sticky. Server moderation and confusion would still be a problem. The name changing is the problem, not the code changing.

As described above, we're concerned with the confusion it could cause for other users, not just moderation. We don't intend on making namechanges possible, even if it's only to a display name.
