Featured Studios and the ST/Cartoon Network
(I am sharing my opinions here, and you might not agree, but just please hear me out. Post only if you have read the whole thing please!)
Look at the studios in the featured studios row right now as I am writing this post. What do they all have in common? (excluding the Mouse Trails one at the end)

Didn't get it yet? Well, it is this:
They are all made by the Scratch Team and/or Cartoon Network. And I know one of them is for Computer Science Education Week 2016, but that is only one.
Now, I have nothing against these studios being on the front page! Nothing at all! Just… I thought the Featured Studios row was for studios made by the community, like the Mouse Trails one at the end, not from the Scratch Team or Cartoon Network. To me it is just like… The Scratch Team featuring their own projects. And this suggestion is not to take these studios off the front page!! I just want to make that clear. It is to simply make a new studio row, not replacing the featured projects row, which will be somewhere on the front page.

This will have all the studios that the Scratch Team or Cartoon Network and those kinds of people made. It might also include the SDS maybe? I mean, the SDS already has it's own row, so… Just post your thoughts on that below. This will be so the featured projects made by the community (other than the ST & CN) have their own row. So people can see the ST's and CN's studios on the front page, but not have them in the featured projects row. The only problem with this is the front page is already pretty full with rows. I'm not sure another new row will help. So please, if you have another idea for where to put it instead of a row on the front page, that will really help. Unless you think the front page can fit another new row.
Anyway, that's my suggestion. Please share your thoughts below. If you have any questions, also please ask them below. Good day!
Edit:
Exactly. So basically what @bigpuppy is suggesting is that the “Featured Studios” is where studios made by other Scratchers go, and the studios that the Scratch Team / Cartoon Network make are in a separate row maybe called “Studios Made by the Scratch Team”So the suggestion is for the ST to not put their own studios in Featured Studios?I don't think you understand. Well, but “featured” in projects refers to Scratch-team selected projects, not community-selected projects.
I think instead the new row should be something like “Studios the community is following” and contain all the community-selected projects, while the ST can use their featured studios row to feature anything, including their own stuff.
Or, another idea, if we wanted to have the “Featured Studios” be community-selected studios, is to put all the promoted studios in the top row banner where the “make it fly” thing is now. That banner could contain like three promotional studios, which I think should be enough…
My suggestion is not to change the “Featured Studios” to be community-selected studios. My suggestion is to make a new row with all the studios the ST made. The ST still gets to pick the Featured Studios.

I fully support this. I think that the other studios made by Scratchers deserve to still be visible. Instead, you've got to scroll past some of the Scratch Team's studios (which most new Scratchers would be too occupied with those originally)…

Support. I recommend these studios (and the headers) was intended only for New Scratchers, or given option to not to show it anymore. Also, the new section for these studios is a great idea.

Support! I love checking out community studios, and the ST ones aren't quite as, err… awesome.
For a Name for the New Row:
“What We Love” or “Scratch Cat's Picks”

To be honest, though, it seems like the ST created these studios just for the Coding Week thing, because they weren't here before the *annoying* banner showed up.

It's annoying for me because I want to see what the community's doing!
I'd name the ST's row
Official Studios
and the other one will be kept

Featured Studios and the ST/Cartoon Network
Hi!
Yeah, I totally agree. It's weird and kinda frustrating that the ST has placed previously featured/front-paged studios in the featured section, but since the studios will only be up for 3 weeks tops (I assume) it doesn't really make sense for the ST to add the code for a new row, inform people about it, and get people to find studios for it before new, “community-picked” studios are featured.
Yes, the ST picks which studios should be featured as well as which projects should be featured, but we supply them with suggestions.

Well the most followed studios don't really change, so we'd be seeing little to no rotation. xP But I get the point. I think instead the new row should be something like “Studios the community is following” and contain all the community-selected projects, while the ST can use their featured studios row to feature anything, including their own stuff.

1. Why would they need to inform people about it? Hi!
