Banned Users Can Still View Projects
In my opinion, I find it a tad unfair that banned users can''t view ANY of the site. I mean, what if they were working on a big project? it would be ncie if they could work on it, but not share it, as some people don't like the offline editor,
And, it would be nice if you could still view/favortie projects! Like, there is no harm in viewing stuff, right? Just not be able to comment

I do like this idea- there's always the offline editor if you want to work on something, but imo, it would almost be more of a punishment if you could SEE the comments you were getting and not be able to respond until your ban time was up. Not to mention that it's a somewhat more realistic punishment, and would still let you use the site.
EDIT: Another reason- if you got banned and you have to share a project for school or something, then you could have the project ready to share and be less likely to fail the assignment.

Correct, the online editor is useful if you use multiple computers and want to pick up where you left on the other computer. Some people dislike the offline editor I do like this idea- there's always the offline editor if you want to work on something, but imo, it would almost be more of a punishment if you could SEE the comments you were getting and not be able to respond until your ban time was up. If you aren't IP Banned you should be able to view the website no?
There's a reason to getting banned, and usually it's because your behavior was unfit for the community.
Serving your “time-out” should be done like it always has been.

Anyways, I said:
If you aren't IP Banned can't you view the websiteIf you are IP Banned, you must have really posed a problem, therefor, would've been best you cannot view it.
Again, watch your actions, and there won't be a problem.

I'm guessing that this is rejected for the reasons outlined in this post by cheddargirl.
Of course, that post applied only to IP blocks, but I'm guessing it also applies to permanent bans and maybe temp bans as well. it doesn't make sense to provide a {free and non-profit!} service who did something so bad that an IP block had to be put into place.

Support, I've never been banned but it would be awful to be able to do nothing on the site. That's simply unfair.

It's not unfair - being banned and not being able to do anything on the site is your punishment. How is that unfair? Support, I've never been banned but it would be awful to be able to do nothing on the site. That's simply unfair.

So they shouldn't be banned in the first place. The consequences in that case are irrelevant. It might have been a misunderstanding, or your sibling may have done something, or someone else ina classroomIt's not unfair - being banned and not being able to do anything on the site is your punishment. If you're just logging out and viewing projects without logging in, is that really a bad thing to do? If you can't do what you were banned for doing, then is that really a problem? If it was, wouldn't the Scratch Team members IP ban everyone whom they banned and not just account-ban them?Oh ok don't scare me thereIt's unbanned now, duhlike, view my latest project…………Pssssssst, you realize that you're supposed to appeal or contact the ST, not tell me that you're bypassing a banWell, my old acc got banned, and all it was was a misunderstanding. There is.
