Make Recordings High-Pitch or Low-Pitch
Hey, everyone! I have an idea that can be useful to animators or anyone who uses recordings. Right now, you can only make a few changes to recordings. I think that there should be an update to the recordings where you can make them low-pitch or high-pitch. It would also be nice if you could speed up or slow down recordings. I think this is possible to do without the Scratch Team spending too much money. What do you think? Do you have any ideas?

I'd love this but it seems a little too advanced for how simple Scratch is supposed to be.
I recommend using Audacity (a free program) for all your audio editing needs.

No support. Why not download audacity? That's what I use for messing up audio.

Hmm, I've never heard of Audacity. I'll have to look into it. It would be much easier if you could change the audio in Scratch, though.I'd love this but it seems a little too advanced for how simple Scratch is supposed to be.

This isn't making audio. It's modifying it. Theres a difference.Exactly. Why I support.Hmm, I've never heard of Audacity. I'll have to look into it. It can be used for both, honestly. Scratch is also not made for modifying audio. You can already do that with many other programs, so I don't see the point.

Well, there are already many other programs that let you code, so why do we need Scratch? This isn't making audio. It's modifying it. Theres a difference.Exactly. So we should remove the sound editor, because “Scratch is not made for modifying audio.” It can be used for both, honestly. Scratch is also not made for modifying audio. You can already do that with many other programs, so I don't see the point.
Although Audacity would be a good choice for lowering and raising pitches, it would be nice to have this feature in Scratch. Most people have restricted accounts, and cannot download software without parent/teacher permission.

Scratch is unique, and different from other coding programs. Scratch is not made for modifying audio.

The sound editor exists to make music for a game. I think it's already useful with the tools we have now.

I wouldn't find it useful, honestly, with audacity at my hands. What useless features are we going to add to Scratch now, that would be already achievable with other programs? Change tempo, amplify it? Scratch is not made for modifying audio, the sound editor is made for displaying sound and editing it for MAPS.

Useful?
Those options I mentioned would be very useless to me. Scratch is not a sound modifying system, but the sound editor is only used for displaying audio, and sometimes editing it (censoring out parts, for example).

But most people will find it not useful, is what i'm saying
And what would be the point of it? Honestly, many projects would just use it as something with the title of:
“This song 200% faster”
or “WORLD'S FASTEST MUSIC OF ALL TIME”
