The new remix system
You know the new “thanks to” credit system for remixes?
Sometimes there are long remix chains, like remix collaborations, where the creator of the original project participates later. (For example, User 1 starts the collab, User 2 remixes it, then User 1 remixes User 2's remix…)
So, let's say User 1 makes part 1, then User 2 remixes adding a part 2, then User 1 remixes adding a part 3. With the new system, this is what the Notes and Credits on part 3 would say:
Thanks to User 2 for:
part 2 (Project Remixed)
Thanks to User 1 for:
part 1 (Original Project)
But then the title would say, “part 3 by User 1”. So it basically looks like User 1 is thanking himself or herself.
So maybe if someone's project is in a remix chain where the original project was created by that same user, it would say, “I created the original project: (project name)” instead of “Thanks to (creator's username) for: (project name) (Original Project)”.

It is qutie obvious, like the OP states, it is weird to remix your own project, and the credit giver doesn't say that you actually owned the original.Support.Why?

Cool idea, it probably is fairly contradictory to credit yourself in remixes

Why Support.
But the suggestions forum isn't really a place to vote on the OP. If you don't have any new ideas, then technically you shouldn't post (lots of people make this mistake, don't worry). So in a perfect Suggestions forum, a perfect suggestion should have no responses (just bumps, and the Scratch Team saying they accepted/rejected it at the very end)It is qutie obvious, like the OP states, it is weird to remix your own project, and the credit giver doesn't say that you actually owned the original.Support.Why?

This isn't exactly a bug, it's probably just something that hasn't been considered yet. Seems a better fit in Bugs and Gliches, but support.
There's probably no such thing as a perfect suggestion… So in a perfect Suggestions forum, a perfect suggestion should have no responses (just bumps, and the Scratch Team saying they accepted/rejected it at the very end)

Totally support this suggestion as it lessens confusion that may be caused by that text!

I'm talking about how it now says “thanks”, not the links. I really like the way the remix system works nowDue to the fact I use it for versioning changes. Where I remix my previous version with my newer version. And if something is wrong I can work on the remix in peace. And when I have the remix shared. I can see a link to the previous version.

Hmm, my problem with this is that, it's not very weird to credit yourself if you contributed.
Support though. Nope, no reason, just support. Couldn't really find much of a reason.

Nothing is or probably will be perfect. Plus, the “voting” is feedback, without feedback, and rebuttals, and new ideas, additions, etc. How will a good suggestion come about unless the OP makes it perfect. Why Support. But the suggestions forum isn't really a place to vote on the OP. (Quoting the long post above)
Exactly, that is why people are supposed to post, and be constructive when they do.
The voting by itself is not constructive. The other stuff you listed does. How does 100 votes saying “Support” help make the suggestion better? And the suggestion isn't perfect as you said.. it can't be, not until somebody makes a constructive post.

Well, there's also a ‘remix tree’ in the right corner of a project where you can view the remixes.

Can't we have rebuttals without the support and no support phrases? I am finding the statement contrary since people aren't giving a lot reasons to rebuttal anyway.
Would it only say the new phrase without the notation of credit to the before-remixed project (the 2nd project that user 1 remixed)?
