Ability to hide followers and following section

See these?

Why do we need them? With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community. No part of this imagining, programming or sharing requires others to know who we are following, or who follows us.

Please give users the ability to hide the above sections, because some people may not want their following sections visible. This may help with the f4f issue, because if there is less emphasis on followers, the subject of them will be less important and will also declutter the Scratch profile.

Please keep in mind this setting can be toggled on or off, so if you want it to remain, it can be left as it is.

I agree, it gets a little annoying when you go to someone's profile and all the comments are “omg u have ____ followers”

Even though people would want to see their followers page so they can quickly go to a user's profile, that's why you're suggesting to have the ability to hide it

Support, although it shows that he/she has some friends, I think the only use this has is a bit of jealousy,

Support. Scratch isn't about fame.

No support. I find it a great way to find people who's interests are similar to mine.

Let's say you are following a person that likes Doctor Who. Then you can scroll down and find a follower that likes Doctor Who and talk to them about it.

I support. Scratch isn't about popularity.

I'm wondering if I should start a new hashtag against being obsessed with popularity? #MakeScratchGreatAgain ?

You would still have the option to toggle it on or off.

Sorry for replying to multiple posts in the same post, I don't want to deal with the 120-second rule.

I support this too. If you toggle this section off, it could make your profile look less cluttered. Plus I agree that Scratch isn't about popularity.

Yes. This would help a a lot. And people that did want their's shown, they could switch it off. It's a win-win!

Support for this, with the toggle option c: Personally, I just like to have a clean page, so it'd be useful for a nice short profile~

Why do we need them? I think it's pointless and stupid.
I demand that the ST give users the ability to hide the above sections, because hypothetically some people may not want their following sections visible. This may help with the f4f issue that I see very little of because if there is less than almost no emphasis on followers, the subject of them will be less important and will also declutter a tiny part the Scratch profile?

Again, it's optional… :3
Although I bet a lot of people would keep it on, I support.

Support because some people don't want others to see their followers. Even though this is optional, it does make it a little harder to find others with the same interest because someone may want to see others with the same interests as one of their followers or people they follow. That person may have those sections hidden. However, I think the problem that people don't want to show the sections is much more important, so I support.

Support, I would use this because I don't really want to show all my followers, but maybe make it so that if you don't have it showing, only the user who has the account can see their followers. So if I turned off showing my followers, Iwould still be able to see them, but no one else would.

I support, scratch isn't about followers, it's about coding, although a lot of people wouldn't use it (myself included, being that I would be to lazy to do so) it seems like it would be nice.

But if people turn it off than how will people find other people with similar interests? THEY WON'T! Honestly since Scratch isn't about popularity and people don't seem to be complaining about this I'm going to Super Ultra Mega Forever NO SUPPORT FOREVER UNTIL THE END OF ALL TIME!
