Add the Backpack to the Offline Editor
A nice new feature of Scratch 2.0 is the new backpack. But on the Offline Editor, you cannot get the backpack. This is bad because if you were now trying out the Offline Editor, you would have some problems since you were used to the backpack. So, how about we see if Scratch can update the Offline Editor and get their things from one project to the other project.

Add the Backpack to the Offline Editor
There wouldn't be a point of calling it the “offline” editor because the backpack requires an internet connection. Unless you're using it to transfer sounds/costumes to another sprite, there isn't really a reason to implement the backpack…

Uhhh… Yes but maybe Scratch should make an online editor. You mean this one?
I support, but the only way this would work is if it kept separate sprites/scripts/sounds than the online backpack.

Add the Backpack to the Offline Editor
I will be teaching a Scratch programming class at school but after normal school hours. No network support will be available so we need to use the offline version of Scratch. We have no need to have the same backpack as the online version. I would imagine there are many poorer schools that will prefer the offline version due to low speed or intermittent internet service. Costumes, sprites, and sounds could be shared between projects by exporting and importing but that is more complex and less intuitive than a backpack. There is no way without a backpack to copy a code snippet from one project into another project. As far as I know you can't even copy a snippet within a project. Copying code is very common. I would really like to see the backpack implemented for the offline editor.

Add the Backpack to the Offline Editor
I've been exclusively using the offline editor and I just “wrote” a little bit of code that I want to use in another program. Then it occurred to me, “I bet that's what that ”backpack“ thingy is for! ”. So yep I support this suggestion

Add the Backpack to the Offline Editor
I think this isn't really the best idea… no support.
If you want an offline ‘backpack’, then you should just make a folder to store sprites, scripts, and costumes in, and then use the import/export functions.
The only thing an offline backpack could do would be transfer stuff between projects, you couldn't directly take stuff from online projects anyways.
Would I support access to our online backpack from the offline editor when we have an internet connection? Sure. But then we'd have to log in through the offline editor and it gets really complicated and we'd probably be better off just exporting things.

Add the Backpack to the Offline Editor
There's two ways that a backpack could be implemented in the offline editor-
Online Syncing Backpack- This backpack syncs with the user's online editor backpack (when the user logs into the editor with their username and password). Changes made in the online editor show up in the offline editor, and the offline editor can make changes to the backpack when an internet connection is available. All backpack items are saved by the offline editor on the computer so that these items can be later retrieved without an internet connection. (When no network is available, the backpack can only be read and copied, not changed.)
Separate Offline Backpack- This backpack is separate from the online backpack. The data is not synced with a user's online editor backpack, but can be edited and changed without an internet connection since the data does not need to by synced with an online server. (An option for this backpack type is to have the option to import and export items from a user's online backpack.)
Either way, I support.
