Spoilers would really improve the Forums, because larger images or much text could easily be hidden in a Spoiler. By clicking it, the Spoilers reveal/hide their content.

Why do you need spoilers? There are no secrets or anything, Scratch isn't a game.

Nice idea, but maybe it would show:
Collapsed text (show)
? Really terrible mockup.

It's not about hiding anything! Everybody can see whats inside. Sometimes, images/pictures are just so huge, that the autor might want to put it into a Spoiler to save space and so the post is not endless. Also, it can be used as a stilistic device^^ Why do you need spoilers? There are no secrets or anything, Scratch isn't a game.

We were (at least I was) thinking of having collapsible quotes, and large quotes would be collapsed by default. Would that work for this?

Pretty much would work. We were (at least I was) thinking of having collapsible quotes, and large quotes would be collapsed by default. Would that work for this?

No—all long(ish) quotes would be collapsed, and all quotes could be toggled open/closed with a click.Like We were (at least I was) thinking of having collapsible quotes, and large quotes would be collapsed by default. I suppose we could have a [spoiler] tag that always started out closed. But what if I wanted to have a quote closed by default, say some cheat codes for a Show and Tell thread?

I think it would just be
[spoiler]Hello, world![/spoiler]
->
[spoiler=Welcome]Hello, world[/spoiler]
->
EDIT: Y'know…pretend that those expand when you click them

Looking good for BBCode! Could you please implement those, quoting on lofi, and telling you wether they are on or off line next to their posts like on the 1.x forums?

Support, as long as you can't have spoilers in spoilers, and if there is a button on the screen to open all spoilers.

But if it's not a game with a story, and it's just for big stuff, then it's not spoilers. It's just collapsed text. I agree but I think it should be called collapsed text instead of spoilers. Support, as long as you can't have spoilers in spoilers, and if there is a button on the screen to open all spoilers.

Can we have spoiler tags in the forums that allow you to hide writing until clicked?

Do you mean a kind of button to flip posts open or closed?
