Yes, we are. I thought we were talking about the Scratch appNo. As soon as you'd try to save your project/import an asset/load an asset from Scratch it would freak out. That is, if you even have a connection to load the website itself from in the first place.(#73)Try using the website without internet.
Wait, can’t you just use the website?
Plus, some parents may not allow their kids to interact with strangers.
Can you actually use the website without internet enabled on your device?Um… that sounds about as practical as a refrigerator that doesn't cool anything. The refrigerator's sole purpose is to cool food. Scratch's sole purpose is to let people code. Remove coding from Scratch and it's no longer Scratch. I know this is a really old topic about the app that got revoked a long time ago but is there any chance that apple will change their mind about it if the ST removes the coding in the program inside the coded program?
Not the actual code, I mean the code in the editor

The reason it got taken down is because you could view other's projects, which meant it was sort of an app store. If Scratch were to copy the Android version then it would get accepted The ST has tried in the past but the appstore doesn't allow apps that modify code, so there will never be a scratch on ipad.

I guess that does make sense for an app that apple doesn't want others to view other people's Scratch projects

True, but the ST could've just copy the same app from it's android port and ported it to iOS

If the Android version is open-sourced, then it's possible, but it's far from easy. That's… not quite how it works.Ah, but iOS is based off MacOS.How come scratch is on Mac

Maybe ST could offer a .ipa or .deb for sideloading, if they can't post it on the Apple store?

They can't do a thing about it tho. Especially if it's not being used for piracy.but aren't ipa files against the iOS and iPadOS TOS Maybe ST could offer a .ipa or .deb for sideloading, if they can't post it on the Apple store?

I don't think deb files apply to iOS, especially since it's FreeBSD based

Actually, jailbroken iOS I don't think deb files apply to iOS, especially since it's FreeBSD baseddoes use .deb packages. In fact, a full iOS port of dpkg is what is used for a lot of repo extractors, such as Cydia.

I think this topic should be closed, we already have iOS (and Android) Scratch in the form of the HTML5 editor
