I think Scratch Wiki is very cool.
Here's a little quote you can remember:
Scratch is fun, but you learn a ton.

That should be for this WW. By June, I meant that the majority of WW was in June. This is the same naming convention that I used for May, April, and March. Would it be more clear to use the month that the WW started in?

Anyway, I'll talk to LiFay, and see what's happening.

Dear Scratchers,
Remember, you haven't started till you've tried. This means, if you don't try, you will never start or succeed.

Sincerely,

The define block is used to create your own blocks. When the blocks are run, scratch executes the code under its define block.
For example:
define helloWorld
say [Hello World!]
when green flag clicked
helloWorld
makes the sprite say, “Hello World!”

Custom blocks also allow inputs to be inserted when they are run.
define (str1) is better than (str2)
say (join (join (str1) [ is better than ]) (join (str2) [!]))
when green flag clicked
[Snap!] is better than [Scratch]
The above script makes the sprite say, “Snap! is better than Scratch!”

The purple variables declared in the define block are called parameters, and the values “passed” to the block when it is run (“Snap!” and “Scratch”) are called arguments. Does this help?

Ironically, I proposed the article on custom blocks to be the English featured article.

I talked with LiFay, and she says that she is currently busy, but will update the front post with the English wiki's WW tomorrow.
