Nobody ever said you can't use it. they just said that it is dying. That may mean that in the future you might not be able to use it, but that won't be for a long time.Sorry, but you're misreading my post.Sorry, but you're misreading the graph.Just because a language isn't “Trendy” or “Popular” doesn't mean I can't use it, and also, look! This is the current height of Flash's usage! It's much higher than Javascript or Silverlight, and only a bit lower than Java. This means that it is used by many high-traffic sites, and those sites should know what they are doing. Also, Javascript is used by many lower-quality sites.not dying, and if this is what you want, fine. But I'm leaving. This graph begs to differ: Nope. I'm packing up. I'm leaving. NOPE! If they're changing which will ultimately remove all my hard work in 2.0, then I'm leaving. It's good I'm getting Flash 7 in 2017, because NOPE. Also, Flash isn't “dying,” as many describe. Youtube is Flash. Any website you've seen probably uses Flash. There are entire websites made in Flash. (LAWLOLAWL is in Flash. Jonochrome is in Flash. What more must I say? Oh, and I'd consider Newgrounds Scratch, using Flash-developed games.) So Flash is https://w3techs.com/technologies/history_overview/client_side_language/all/y
Also, Flash is dying. Chrome is going to start blocking Flash because of security and performance issues. Even Adobe doesn't want you to use Flash anymore. YouTube uses HTML5 and only Flash as a last resort. Flash-only websites are getting extremely rare, and HTML5 games are slowly replacing Flash games. Flash 7 is Macromedia Flash 7, which is from 2004-ish. The Scratch team has already stated that they will retain compatibility with older projects, which means your hard work will not be removed.
Nobody said you couldn't use Flash. they just said that Flash is dying. Just because its dying, it doesn't mean you can't use it.
Also, I've tried HTML5, and it's NOTHING like Flash. How is this cross compatible again?
HTML5 encompasses a large number of modern technologies, and JavaScript + SVG is very similar to Flash. There are even (rudimentary) automated conversion tools that go from Flash to HTML5!
Oh, and Scratch uses JavaScript to load the Flash player.just because a language isn't “Trendy” or “Popular” doesn't mean I can't use itI can't go anywhere without people bashing my opinion. I'm not making you use Flash 7, and I don't need to know how popular Flash is. Even if it's own company dislikes it. If Scratch Team abandons Scratch, would you still use it?I like how you cut out this part ^
