This is a suggestion. He wants a block to make the computer play it's “beep” or “ding” noise.

The computer beep noise is very quiet. Also, since WIndows 98, rather than a beep, it's a “ding” noise.

It's not that hard, there are probably plenty of sound websites that have a wide variety of beep sounds.

No support, as you could just download one off the internet. Also, idk how it'll get the file, and it won't work with all computers.

I'd be down for some system sounds to play, but I doubt they'll be implemented.

Find a Windows Soundboard and download your beep from there

In fact, there are over 700,000 ways that an object/program can make a “Beep noise.”

No support. It just seems way too ambiguous in what type of beep you want. However, if you want to skip the downloading, I found that this works-

set instrument to (20- Synth Lead v)

I could try this:
1. go to more blocks.
2. click make a block.

// Make a Block

3. type beep and click ok.
4. a define script will come up.

define beep

5. click the sounds tab
6. choose upload sound from file
7. go to c:\windows\media
8. go to scripts
9. click the sound category.
10. drag the play sound onto the define beep script.

define beep
play sound [Windows Ding v]

11. now, test it!

when gf clicked
beep::custom

Support. Like a BIOS beep and if something goes wrong, a beep code.

No support because that's what this block is for, as others have stated:

play sound [beep v]

No support. I dont see any reason to need an os specific one. Also, it can be confusing for New Scratchers because it acts different on different computers.
