support. This would allow people to find their favorite topics easily.
Support. This would make the forums easier to navigate
I wouldn't waste time using the support/no support convention, Scratch Team doesn't add suggestions by support's they add them by how well it will fit with scratch.

That would imply the ST endorsing Ocular, which: If Ocular is the recommended route, perhaps a link to it at the top of the forums page would be useful?
1. While its creator worked for the ST as an intern over the summer, it doesn't count as an official Scratch thing.
2. The ST tends not to endorse things that aren't theirs
Not to mention that it's kind of on life support right now and doesn't work particularly well.

Well, either it works and is the one that should be used, or it doesn't work and there should be an official one! I don't know about DjangoBB, but all other forum engines I've used can be configured to allow searching of posts. I'd be surprised if DjangoBB can't?
Oh well, looks like a hot topic… my personal solution is to use something like "mysearchterm site:https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/discuss/" in a browser.

DjangoBB certainly can- and the forums used to have a search feature (https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/discuss/search/ ) which is actually still used for searching for things like all of your posts and unanswered posts. For some reason they removed it.snip

I do support it. It makes it easier to look for something without clicking those numbers

This would be really useful for checking that the forum topic you're posting isn't a duplicate, support.

This would be easier than ocular, and users who don’t know about ocular would be able to search too.

Only works on one page per forum (and then you have to click to the next page), and you can't search more than one forum at once. Why should we not just ctrl + f ?
Highly inefficient when you're searching for one topic in a forum with thousands of pages.

Ok, I get your point, but how would search querys work?Only works on one page per forum (and then you have to click to the next page), and you can't search more than one forum at once. Why should we not just ctrl + f ?
