New Sound Detection Block Sugestion
That's way too specific for a block.Really now?
Next thing you know:When someone behind John says ( pizza:: ring ) :: motion

It's called sarcasm, therefore that's not a fallacy. Besides, you did realise a fallacy was detected in your comment? That's way too specific for a block.Really now?

Anyways, 99% of the forums don't know what fallacies are. We shouldn't use fallacies to undermine arguments.

My opinion still stands that you should still use your built-in microphone. If you haven't got a built in microphone in your laptop (NOT desktop), then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ since your computer is too old. Anyways, a speaker to microphone set up should be fine. Can anybody give an example of a programming language that actually uses that block?

I wasn't saying it was wrong, I was just saying the fallacy was fallacious. Take that.

Bump.
The problem delving deep into the archives is that it is much harder to do so with your brain. I can't remember if this has a dupe or not.

Full Support! An idea I thought up for one of my projects uses this block, so it would become possible if this was added!

Support, I don't get the hate of this. Seriously, loudness isn't the most useful block either, but it can be used - I think loudness of audio output has about the same amount of uses. Loudness of microphone or audio output just makes sense to go together.

Holy moly- I didn't know that this discussion went under a huge flame war. (from my perspective anyway)
Semi-support for the reason above, since the block posted by the OP is just a re-skin of the Loudness block but with sprites.[View post]My opinion still stands that you should still use your built-in microphone.
