New Sound Detection Block Sugestion
Do you think I was trying to be serious? It was a joke that was imitating the fact that people want specific blocks.When someone behind John says ( pizza:: ring ) :: motion
fire the blue cannon until a user leaves :: operators
GO GO GO :: grey
What does that even mean? If you're implying that soon Scratch might have voice-recognition, that's awesome! Otherwise, what?! Also, your [scratchblocks] skills are terribly lacking; why is pizza a ring? Rings are for enclosing other operators, not existing as one.

it's not that specific. also, that's rather insulting. If you don't want to support, than just say so, don't make ridicule of the supporters.Do you think I was trying to be serious? a lot of people are mostly deaf or entirely deaf and can't hear music. Audio Visualizer are how deaf people enjoy music. This would obviously be a good thing for the purpose of Scratch which is to educate and otherwise benefit EVERYONE.when green flag clicked

thank you v(⌒o⌒)v Support
even griffpatch agrees that without this, audio visualizers are really hard to make.

So your suggesting something like:
Semi to No support, what's wrong with
if <[audio level v] of [Sprite1 v] = [-1 ] ::sensing> then
say [YOUR TOO FREAKIN SOFT] for (2) seconds ::looks
end
Semi to No support, what's wrong with
(loudness)?

nope, that's not it, your thinking of the loudness block. I'm talking about a block that does a similar thing, but just with audio files. not the mic. for the reasons stated So your suggesting something like:if <[audio level v] of [Sprite1 v] = [-1 ] ::sensing> then
say [YOUR TOO FREAKIN SOFT] for (2) seconds ::looks
end
Semi to No support, what's wrong with(loudness)?

sorry, made a mistake.
Anyway, this is wayyyyyyyyyyyy too specific for a block, it would be EXTREMELY hard even for someone like griffpatch.
It's like
when [a v] key pressed
if <[bob v] says [you rock]::looks> then
shoot [bob v] in the face ::motion
wait until [bob v] dies ::control
GO GO GO GO GO ::operators
end

it's not about griffpatch making it, griffpatch CAN'T this is a suggestion for something for the scratch programmers to add. I could do anything griffpatch can, he's just better at everything.nope, that's note So your suggesting something like:haha i get it it, your thinking of the loudness block. I'm saying that this would be hard for a LOT of Scratchers to understand.
(I don't think you can understand it either)

I bet that no one, or very, very, VERY few if any, people are deaf and use Scratch at the same time. I'm keeping my stance of no support a lot of people are mostly deaf or entirely deaf and can't hear music. Audio Visualizer are how deaf people enjoy music. This would obviously be a good thing for the purpose of Scratch which is to educate and otherwise benefit everyone. not to mention that one of the featured studios is for audio visualizers
I also don't think that:
([audio level v] of [sprite v])would have anything to do with helping the deaf.

Look, I know you're really into this, but the ST doesn't add blocks for stuff that would only be used for one purpose- they want users to be able to use a single block in a variety of situations, that way they know that it is worth it to add that block. This block only has one purpose- audio visualization- so therefore it would not be worth it to add the block.

Still, they're extremely useful and were worth adding. This block is a different scenario.half of all blocks have 1 purpose.^^^and the would be about 22 thousand deaf scratch users, not including those hard of hearing.And your proof is?
