Tryed to install it but it did not even launch the download I kept clicking on the install box but it did absolute nothing!
Is it because the computer I have is a windows 8 because it worked on windows 7.

Can't we update by opening the offline editor and downloading the update automatically from there?
I don't think that's possible. Download it here.

That's the problem! You need Adobe Air 3.x.

The Scratch Team is pleased to announce that a new beta version of the Scratch 2 Offline Editor is available. This version can now upload projects to the website and is now compatible with some versions of Linux and older versions of Mac OSX.
Because the application is now called ‘Scratch 2’, if you have previously installed the ‘Scratch 2.0 Offline Editor’ it is necessary to delete it before installing this version.
You can install it and find out more details here:
http://scratch.mit.edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/scratch2download/
Please leave us feedback and information about any issues here. Be sure to let us know what operating system version you're using. Screenshots are always helpful.
Thanks!

Hello, I have v373 and the current version is v384, but it says I have current version. Maybe changing the title bugged it? In my computer, I changed all words “Scratch” to “Scrach”.

Hello My name is Scratch137 and I have a problem with Scratch 2 BETA. I go to download Adobe Flash AIR 3.x and it completes successfully then I go to download Scratch 2 BETA and it fails but then Firefox, my operating browser, says it completed successfully. I keep trying to download it, but it won't work. I have Windows 7 as my operating system, but it won't work. I think it might be because i'm using Home Premium and this makes me enter my Dad's password which I don't know. Still, I'm not really sure. Could you guys please take a look at this? Thanks! My browser / operating system: Windows 7, Firefox 25.0, Flash AIR 3.x

Just a quick comment to say thanks for all the hard work on Scratch 2.0. I've been peeking at the bug reports from time to time and it's cool to see you guys whipping this thing into shape. What a great gift to the world!
I'm super-excited about migrating my classes to version 2.0 DL as soon as it's more stable. All the gee-whiz features are nice, but as a teacher, what I really crave is that CLONE command. As you know, instances and inheritance are the basis of object-oriented programming, and I'd love for the kids to learn that, in a downloadable environment.
In the meantime we are still loving version 1.4. The lack of the CLONE feature is really the only major thing wrong with it.
Is there any official projected ETA for “declaring victory” on this beta? I know from my own days as a developer how uncertain release dates can be, but any guidance would be helpful, as I've got a lot of parents asking me about it. Thanks

Awesome, great work! FYI I installed Version 373 on OS X Version 10.9 (Mavericks), and it works; but it does not support Retina displays (i.e., the text is a bit jagged). Are there plans to support Retina displays (or is there a workaround)? Thanks!

I can't install it on my laptop! I've tried it with the automatic installer, the optional method. I can install AIR but when I try to install the offline editor it says
It will install on my Windows XP desktop though. Also, Scratch is prompting me to do an update on my desktop but when I try to update it, I get the same error message as above.
My browser / operating system: Windows NT 6.3, Chrome 31.0.1650.63, Flash 11.9 (release 900)
I'll post my desktop's info when I get back to it.
Sorry, an error has occurred.
This application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author.

The only thing that isn't connected to the Internet at times is my IPad. Can we have an IPad version of this? By the way, I don't have iOs7. Yet.
