I have some studio ideas. I'm going to post them here:

1. Messages

Studio messages are annoying. Like, REALLY annoying. But we can't remove them, because they're actually really useful. I'm in a few studios where I really need to know when someone comments, and that's it. Here are some ideas that me and some other people came up with in that studio.

1.1 Only when you follow
When you follow a forum topic, you get messages. When you follow a user, you get info about them on the What's Happening. But, following a studio is really just like loving it. Instead, even if you curate a studio, you only get messages when you follow the studio. When you accept a curator application, you are automatically set as a follower, which you can always unfollow, of course. Now, you can get messages for studios you don't curate, such as an SDS studio.

1.2 Comments
You only get messages from comments. Anytime someone comments on the studio, all curators of it get a message, like it's your own project. You can also check an option to only get messages from comments, or get messages from both comments, plus the regular studio messages, which won't count comments, in this case.

1.3 Turn 'em off!
Pretty simple, turn them completely off!

1.4 Combination, or choose
We can combine some of these ideas, or all, or we could allow people to choose what options they want. Best of both worlds.

2. Comments

The comments in a studio are really useful, and I use them a ton. But, some things could be changed.

2.1 Deleting
We can delete comments on projects, why not studios? To keep things from crashing, only the owner or all managers can delete comments.

2.2 Seperating
Studios have different parts attached. Now, each part can have a comment section! Basically, this devides the comments up. Managers (or just owners) can create sections, or just have a general comment section. For example, I can create one called Questions, one called Discuss, and maybe one called Project Suggestions! You can easily tab between them.

2.3 Opinions?

3. Descriptions

Studio descriptions are really useful, since they tell people all about the studio. But, sometimes they don't get the point across. By the way, I'd love it if all of these could get put in project descriptions as well.

3.1 Remove character limit
Remove the character limit. Someone told me that there's a character limit, and there's no point. If there isn't one, please tell me. Thanks!

3.2 Formatting
Since you can have so much information to put in a studio description, formatting would really come handy. I can get the point across so much better in a forum thread than I can in a studio description, because of formatting.

3.3 Clicky links
When you're a manager, you can edit the description, but, you can't click any links. A way to switch between Read-Only Mode and Edit Mode would be awesome, so I can still click those links.

3.4 Opinions?

4. Curators

Curators are probably the most important part of a studio. Without them, a good studio won't exist, really. The curator system is great, but some things could be added.

4.1 Demoting
You can promote someone, but in order to demote them, you have to remove them and reinvite them. Not good. All managers can hover over another manager, where a demote button will pop up, like when a manager hovers over a curator. You can demote yourself

4.2 Opinions?

That's a lot of things. But here ya go…

1.5: I completely support all of them. Maybe you could get a message if someone accepts your curator invite?

2.1: Semi-support, as some manager troll might delete comments with important info.

3.1: Support, should happen in project descriptions and about me sections too.
3.2: Support but what would be the format?

Maybe you could add a feature to stop becoming a curator of a studio.
Add a message if someone you invited to be a curator has accepted the invite.
Add a message if you've been promoted to manager.
Block studio invites from certain people.

That's just about it. I really hope all of this gets implemented!

Messages- Support for all, especially for the last one.
Comments- No support for deleting, it could be used to PM. Support for separating as long as there's a limit on how many sections you can have.
Descriptions- support for all but removing the character limit, which I semi-support as it could make some descriptions harder to read due to the sheer amount of text.
Curators- Support.
