The Simpsons

The old episodes are the best. I have to things that show how low The Simpsons has bone; Homer Shake and Tapped Out.

I must agree, the new episodes are just… not good.

My favorite episodes are Deep Space Homer, Cape Feare and Kingsize Homer.

Ha ha, Season 7 was the best. My favourite episodes are You Only Move Twice, Who Shot Mr Burns? (Part 1 & 2) and Treehouse of Horror V.

I remember this really dirty joke on the Simpsons and I started laughing like mad, It was that episode where Homer tells the story of Homer's Odyssey.

I remember that. I'm gradually losing interest in the Simpsons. It used to be every Sunday at 7:00, I'd watch the simpsons. Now I miss a lot of recent episodes. The new ones just aren't as funny anymore…

I agree, the new episodes a worse because they ran out of ideas. Also I've got series: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15 on DVD. They're really good!

I prefer the old seasons, but I don't have anything wrong with the new ones. I don't get why everyone hates them…

I think my main problem with the newer episodes, despite enjoying them, is their lack of timelessness. Technology moves much faster these days than when the show started (late 1980s) and so any topical references feel dated even when they're still current. I still watch it when I can be bothered to get hold of the episodes but it's not with the same fervour I had during university.

It's somewhat concerning to think about how much time I've spent watching the show. There's enough episodes that if one were to watch them as a nine to five job it'd still take a month to watch all of them. I've seen nearly all of them at least twice, many even more than that. I say “nearly” because I'm a couple of seasons behind at the moment. I'm not sure how I should feel about this particular “accomplishment”!

i love the simpsons. really like the treehouse of horror one where at the end they say “theres nothing to be scared about. it was just a dream.” says marge. then homer said “except for the green fog that turns people inside out” then they all say except for bart “uh oh! its creeping in!” then they get turned inside-out and start dancing. both parts of who shot mr.burns (maggie!) are good.
