No support, this feature would not benefit Scratch from any way at all. What if griffpatch somehow loses all of his followers? How would he feel, and how would he react to all of those unfollow notifications?

Please, be constructive and add to the discussion. Support
Please, don't name other Scratchers when you speak about them. It's disrespectful. Everyone has his/her own will, so if he/she did, there's nothing you can do. well REMOVED unfollowed me 4 no resonwhen green flag clicked

Did you notice this? ↓ No support, because this could happen.
Edit: Seeing all the no supports, I have a different idea. Maybe the message will tell you just that someone has unfollowed you, and not tell you who. Then it will tell you how many followers you currently have, so if someone keeps unfollowung you, you will know that the same oerson is doing it over again. To prevent spam, if they keep unfollowing you, you only get the message once if it is by the same person. How does that sound?

Notifications should really only serve to inspire and motivate Scratchers; an unfollowing message (even if anonymous) would likely hurt a Scratcher's self-esteem, and they wouldn't be as motivated to continue with Scratch.

No support.
First, you can get message spam:
First, you can get message spam:
Second of all, it's probably a “bully” thing… Message spam:
*user spam-clicks the follow button*
Bob is now following you
Bob is no longer following you
Bob is now following you
Bob is no longer following you
Bob is now following you
Bob is no longer following you
Bob is now following you
Bob is no longer following you
Bob is now following you
Bob is no longer following you
Bob is now following you
Bob is no longer following you
Bob is now following you
Bob is no longer following you
etc…
In other words, no support.
So no support. No support.
Bullying could evolve from this.

AFAIK Scratch doesn't resend follow notifications when you unfollow after following then immediately refollow, so I don't see how this would happen. No support.
First, you can get message spam:

I don't see how this would be beneficial in any way on Scratch. I wouldn't want a notification that someone unfollowed me, I would probably be down or depending on the day, bitter and angry even. Of course, it's fine if someone unfollowed me, I just wouldn't want to know. So no support.

That probably wouldn't happen. There's no reason for the unfollowed user to report the other user. ↓ No support, because this could happen.

Oh trust me, there are people on this site that would do that. I actually knew someone on this site that would report me for not facetiming him (but yet again that was years ago).

Scratch is a website meant for ages 8 and up; however, I feel it's been catering to the lower end of the spectrum.
The Community Guidelines are simple to follow on paper, but they are shoved up your…ahem…gluteus maximus so far that even saying that a project that's as broken as porcelain after a hideous accident involving the top floor of a skyscraper is even remotely less than perfect, or blurting out the word “poop”, or heck, even posting a link to a Discord server, could wind up with you being banned for a month or so. I should know. I've been banned at least five times.
This amount of over-protectiveness is even more accentuated when you notice that the idea of a dislike button is straight-up rejected. There are millions of kids around the world who are playing Call of Duty at the age of two! If they can't handle criticism, they shouldn't be playing M-rated games and throwing around racial slurs like that!
So, in short, yes. I support. Scratchers need to know when their latest stuff isn't very good, and the current form of Scratch basically secures everything as “good enough”. Negativity is one of the most important parts of growth as a media creator, arguably more so than positivity, and a way so that people know when they haven't been at the top of their game recently by announcing when people are no longer following you is a major step forward.
Now as for jerkiness? Yeah, that isn't helpful at all. I want the Scratch Team to impose less censorship, but a comment that says “this sucks” and nothing more…yeah, that's just plain rude. I need to know reasons, not plain facts.

I may have commented on this before, but whatever I said, I now think it is useless. Why would someone NEED to know when someone unfollows you.
On second thought, maybe it could be an option with default no. In only that case, I support.

But people do. Sometimes people get reported for silly reasons.
