Hi, I was just wondering, what do people mean when they “bump” a thread? I've seen it in places before. Right below their main post, they post something like, “Bump!” What is that? Thanks!

it BUMPS the post to the top of the lists. That way, if too many threads get posted on, the thread with the bump gets pushed back a few pages, so they simply reply to the thread with “BUMP” to bump the post to the top of the first page.

People “bump” a thread when they want it show up at the top of a sub-forum.
