comments are only here so that we can give and receive feedback (and collaborate), so this probably wont be added even if this has a ton of support :(

holy this was started in 2014, we haven't gotten a chance, do we? 11 years since it was suggested.

Does anyone remember the “Dislike” on youtube?
i like this idea, but what if something doesn't get any upvotes? it might as well be getting as many dislikes as a popular one.

eh it'd probably be unnoticed, and if it was, then it'd probably be not a very popular account

Support!

A lot of people are saying “It doesn't matter” but look to the facts:

When someone follows you, hearts your project, or stars it, it most likely makes you feel good. So, if you liked a comment you would get the same reaction, correct? Therefore, it would make Scratch a happier place!

If you agree with a comment, you reply. And what does lots of comments create? Lag! So, if you liked a comment instead, wouldn't that would reduce the lag! Scratch often lags on popular projects, and some even get taken down! But, if you liked a comment instead of replying “Same!” there would be much less lag.

That's all I got, catch ya later!

Your reasoning makes sense but this is the #1030 comment on this thread, and my school chromebook works just fine!
