These are some honest ways to get views:

1. The Show and Tell forum.

While not all topics created there get views, some get quite popular.

2. Adding to studios.

You can add your projects to Add Everything studios or other studios that your project relates to (like a project about dinosaurs going into a studio about dinosaurs would be okay, but a project about apples would not).

3. Creating studios.

Some people create studios with a link to their project in them, their project is added to the studio, etc., and they invite their followers or other users to the studio.

4. Tags

You can add tags to your project so that they might end up on the explore page. Be sure to only add tags to your project that are relevant. For example, a project with no art could not have a #art hashtag. Also, do not tagspam. Tagspamming is repeatedly putting in the same tag. Use tags by going to the project title or description, putting in a hashtag sign (#), and adding a relevant keyword.

5. SDS

The SDS, or Scratch Design Studio, is a good way to get views. Just make a project that fits the theme and ask in a comment for a curator to add it. (You might get frontpaged by doing this.) Here's a link to the current SDS: https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/studios/34747126

Here is another topic by Suspenders101 that can offer some other tips: https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/discuss/topic/6658/ .

Places you can advertise:

- Studios and projects that are for advertising
- The show and tell forum
- Add anything/do anything studios

Places you cannot advertise:

- Featured projects
- People's profiles (Unless they say ads are ok)

Only advertise where you are allowed. I recommend advertising on the profiles of people who allow it (like griffpatch).

how do you properly advertise?

Hi. Similar to what a lot of people said, here is a little list of ways I promote my project without doing anything not allowed.

1) Add to studios
2) Make A Studio For The Game (And invite some of your followers to it)
3) Promote it in the proper places in the discussion forums
4) Add a link to your older projects that direct to new projects

I hope these help!

While it's a good idea, I believe about half of the people you invite will not accept the invite. Adding everyone you met would also be time consuming and you may also not get any sort of “reward” or goal set from doing this as about half of the Scratchers in the community hate studio activity which is why most Scratchers join studios with little studio activity.

This is a great question! A few ways I recommend are adding projects to “Add Anything” or “Advertise here studios, there are some accs that will let you advertise on their profiles (just be sure to ask or check their bio to see if they allow it”, and there is theShow and Tell forum.
These are just a few of what I find to be the most helpful and beneficial ways to advertise respectfully.
