The State of Space Program Simulator Development

So you might have realised that SPS hasn't gotten an update for about 2 months now, so what's going on?

Well, don't worry! I'm not abandoning development at ALL!

It's just that I've been busy (like very busy) with other Scratch projects (namely White Dove, my chess engine) as well as my other YouTube channel.

But after that settles down, SPS development should resume to normal, AKA an update every 2-ish months, but smaller “snapshots” very very often. Don't worry though, I've been constantly thinking about space games, and SPS in general, so I'm absolutely packed full of ideas, and this forum always gives fantastic advice/feedback!

So, when should progress resume to normal?

It's hard to say, but in about 1-2 months should be a good estimate of when SPS dev gets “back on track” The To-Do list is HUGE so stay tuned for updates!

The first thing that should be finished will be SPS v1.25.2 will be seeing other rockets parts during the “play mode”, as well as a graphics update

Fly Safe!
Well can I help for the graphics update

Thank you!
Can you publish the To-Do List?

Sure!

I think a lot of the goals however were not super realistic, so here's some of the more reasonable ones:

-Fix atmosphere system (make it look nicer)
-Improve performance (i have no idea how to do that lol)
-Add more parts
-Add oceans
-Add more planets and moons
Also:
Better separation mechanics (Parts separate and allow the next stage to work)
Better fueling mechanics (You have to choose which engines draw from which fuel tank)
overfilling bug…
lol
It is where a lower fuel tank can fill up with fuel from an upper one, meaning it can be filled above 100%

I recently played SFS for the first time but was disappointed because of the bonus features you have to pay for (but are default in sps)… I think SPS is one of the most realistic games on scratch, and I would LOVE to see docking and craft interaction

The overfilling bug is kind of ok, as long as it doesn't happen between stages (right?)

It is a problem if there is a docking system, as you could fill up the lower tank, then split off the middle one from it, and then re-dock them. you have more delta-v!

A space shuttle. Probably the closest I can get to one that works. It can reach an escape trajectory (leaving Galileo/Earth's sphere of influence) with fuel to spare, and abort that trajectory and land safely using the tail parachute.
