Scratch Movie: Quest for Bugs
But how does scratch cat know its kaj when they only say “someone came after us”?In the ending of the Script, how does Scratch Cat know that it is Kaj with little information?
It was a test. I was going to add onto it where Scratch Cat learned some of the basics from Kaj. Kaj was his unofficial “teacher”. Eventually, Scratch Cat became better than he was at Scratching and programming. This sent Kaj into a fit of jealousy and aggression, but Scratch Cat was getting more views, favorites, and loves than ever. Kaj attempted to outdo Scratch Cat but failed every time. Then Kaj tries to congest and bug Scratch Cat's project, which forces Scratch Cat to report and ban his friend. Sadly, this turned Kaj into the evil crusader we know today.
alsooo idk about this. kaj being scratch cats mentor? i think we should be more accurate to the real kaj's story, and scratch cat knows lots about scratch because theyve been on it for so long, unlike kaj, who is pretty average at it, not very good. remember irl kaj made empty threats of being able to hack and destroy scratch which caused them to be banned, they didnt actually do anything. their power comes from their ability to control and instill fear in their henchmen (other banned scratchers), which they are hiding behind.
also you are a great writer (i think you are our best right now) but you are kinda taking control of the story, maybe you could run your ideas through us before making them official to the story? we need to make plot decisions as a team, including this one. this is like the main backstory
edit: sorry i didnt see the post where you asked us about it, but i guess yeah this is my answer to it :b

i think this project getting marked nfe is inevitable. we just have to make ONE of the series of projects we release this in not nfe, and we will be all good. I KNOW I’M A BIT LATE ON THIS, but would the hospital scene be allowed without an NFE? I mean, even if we make it very cartoonish, it could get this NFE’d (and we wouldn’t show up on the front page OR search results)

ok this is A GREAT SCRIPT! but i have some critiques. Anyways, I fixed the last script stub and added on:(Sand subtly flows out the windows. What does this mean? A loud thud, like a landing, is heard outside.)
FARMER: Oh no. The flying fellow out ‘ere ‘s come back to get me!
PICO: What do you mean?
FARMER: Hide!
(They hide.)
PICO: What’s going on?
FARMER: When the storm hit, I saw this shadow in the cloud. It was this floatin’ cat. He must’ve heard us!
(The door bursts open, and our villain, Kaj, walks in. The group goes silent. Eventually, Kaj enters the kitchen.)
PICO: (instantly cowering) Don’t hurt me!
TERA: (unafraid) Who are you?
KAJ: That’s not yours to know. Not yet.
TERA: I said, who are you!
(Kaj ignores her, and stands up tall. The farmer sneaks behind him with his pan)
KAJ: You’ve seen the storm. Probably lived it. And it was I who sent it!
PICO: (realizing) So you did this. You almost killed our friend! You’re a monster!
KAJ: It really seems so, doesn’t it. But alas, it is you who are the monsters.
TERA: How can you say that after you endangered millions?! You’ll pay for this, mark my words.
FARMER: With a pan-to-the head!
(Kaj realizes and picks up the nearby “go to ()” block. He blocks the hit, which causes the Farmer to get teleported to a random position. Kaj switches the input from “random” to “About Town Hospital”.)
KAJ: It looks like you’re friend needs some help. We’ll meet again, I promise.
(Kaj grins and smacks them all with the block, sending them to the front doors of the hospital. We cut to Scratch Cat and Giga right at the entrance of the hospital, but suddenly, Pico, Tera, and Nano pop up out of nowhere.)
i think we should make kaj's introduction more slowly revealed, and make it more of a big deal. the camera switches to the door, slowly rising higher before kaj slams it open with a grin on their face. the group stays silent. kaj walks around for a little while looking for the voices that they were hearing that lead them to comes in, and they eventually notice them huddling together in the corner, wide eyed. and when they ask them who they are, kaj says nothing and a wide grin spreads on their face. tera gets pretty scared and her confident attitude falters a little, and when she says her words she stutters. yeah like incorporate things like that into the script. ok yahaa yippee im done
edit: not an actual script just something to fold in

Yeah, I think that the mentorship thing is kind of generic and corny. That's why we'd change it. And I do think that I've sort of seized control of the project, but maybe we should start finding a way to motivate others to write to the script. Encouragement is key. Maybe, we could deliver strikes (which is pretty harsh) for every allotment of time they spend inactive. We should share ideas, but we should also at least make something. I was inactive this week because of project I was working on and other personal things. So “leaves-of-absence” should be allowed, as long as a warning is given. Another problem that kind of forced me to just work independently was the combinations of writing style. I'm able to adapt to the kiddy and humorous tone of the movie, but some of the writers can't. Script syntax is also a big issue, and we should instate uniformity in the script format. I really like gvxisnotonline's style, which I adopted, and I think should be the uniform format because the majority of the script is laid out that way. We should have meetings to decide where the plot goes next. But we should definitely start getting people writing, at really any cost. The credit is all equal, but there are serious discrepancies in the amount of writing each person has done. We should probably assign supervisors to each role to get them going. So, somebody, either a director or just another writer, would be in charge of making sure everybody is putting in their load of work.
But I agree with what you said and will make sure to get everything checked out and fixed as directed.

I have a suggestion to help turn the tide of this project.
A lot of people have been suggesting third topics to rally up the ones who are actually into this project for the long haul. I feel like this could be solved easily with my new idea: Supervisors.
There are several “branches” of the cast, consisting of lots of people. And expecting one director triumvirate to be able to look after all of these people and fairly ensure they do their work is dumb. It simply cannot be done. So, my idea would involve the directors to nominate and handpick outstanding, responsible, and punctual (they frequent the forum and check in almost daily) in each cast cluster to make it easier on themselves. The supervisors would round up all the people in their cluster to get to work and they'll all do what they have to. The supervisor does not command or boss around the others, they only enforce and make sure everyone is doing what the directors said to do.
The supervisor doesn't have really any more power than the other people in their cluster. They might review work, but the verdict isn't final until a director reviews it. The supervisor may give tips to improve something before director inspection. Now, instead of looking after the whole cast, the directors technically only have to look after the supervisors, and then they'll do the rest.
It may seem kind of silly, but it would help us build up momentum and start to finish this project. I mean, 75% of the hires don't even post or do any work. So would it be too crazy?
(I am aware it's 4AM when I'm making this, but whatever.)

Testing a possible advert i could use:
Have you EVER dreamt of Scratch having its own movie?! Well - It’s not a dream anymore! Quest for Bugs is a movie made by Scratchers… FOR the Scratchers! While it’s not absolutely complete just yet… I can truly say it’ll be ABSOLUTE CINEMA! Learn more in the official wiki at https://questforbugs.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page

Adding to this, why the heck would you bump the script 5 minutes later on the same page?bump igNew script that I made bc I'm bored Anyways, I fixed the last script stub and added on:yap yap…That's all, Im lazy so I'll continue it tomorrow.
Ehhhh… I know I'm not a director, but I don't know if this is a good addition. You should've read the script summary. I feel like you should also refer to the actual script and adapt the character's personalities. There are also lots of grammatical and capitalization errors that need fixing. It does grab the overall idea of what's to come, but I feel like it should be rewritten.
Edit: I also don't know if you were hired or not, but I'll go back and check.
Edit 2: So you are hired as an animator, and while additions and edits by all of the cast are welcome, I think you should re-apply to get another role in the movie.

I was at a campout this weekend, so I haven’t been active at all on the topic or even Scratch itself. Now that I’m back, I’ll keep working on the updated storyboard and help out a bit with the script.

I'm glad that you guys think supervisors will be a good idea! I thought you guys might just want to pick them yourselves because it really should be someone you know to be active on the forum and whatnot… But anyways, I was just talking to mali3000 about how I've basically garnered all creative liberty on the script, and this is mostly because (no offense, but true) most of the other writers haven't really been doing much.
That's why I want to apply for a supervising role in the writing cast cluster for obvious reasons:
What do you want to be?: Writing Supervisor
How much experience do you have in that? Could you show some examples? (links): I don't believe there is really anything that I could use to prove me as a supervisor except by looking through the forum.
What makes you think you are good for this role?: I regularly monitor this forum for details about the movie, and am usually on top of things when it comes to writing the script.
Are you confident in getting accepted? Why: I am confident in being accepted because I can keep the other writers in check, and make sure ALL the ideas are shared out instead of one person's.
What is your favorite, multi-sided and three-dimensional shape?: I might say a cube or pyramid, but I think that something like a rhombicosidodecahedron takes the cake here.
I hope I can get this “promotion” and help speed things along. I'm just one guy, but together (and this is cheesy, but) we're stronger.
