Scratch is updating its ToS soon, and will soon throw a popup in your face

With a few code modifications I got it to show up (I can't log in through scratch-www dev server)

There is a minor typo though: “the Scratch's” should just be “Scratch's”

you have to be 16 to be able to actually agree to the Scratch ToU without a parent/guardian? that's mildly strict.

Me totally asking for my parent's consent (I set the “parent's email” field to my own email):

I use my e-mail not my parent's e-mail so that I get the password resets.

Who doesn't, ask anyone over the age of 10 and they will say they use their own email.

I think this is a legal requirement in some countries. Most websites get around it by stating in the terms of use that you have to be above a certain age to use the website, but Scratch can't because it's specifically designed for kids.

why bother even sending an email to agree to the updated terms when you can just read them for a second and just get on with your day

You probably shouldn't post that publicly

Also, amp, are the new Terms in the build?

If you treat “Scratch” as a single entity, the wording is still grammatically correct :P
… you learn something new every day. Yeah it's a typo

Anyways that's pretty interesting

it can be triggered by modifying an (apparently) ST member's fork of scratch-www
