Why can't the host delete other users' studio comments? Why is managers (including host) are only able to delete their own comment?

Possibly to make things more clear. For example:
Scratcher A: Reply dogs here for a follow!
Scratcher B: dogs!

If a studio host deleted the first comment-the second one wouldn't make much sense. And in this case it's not really a big deal, but it can be if the comment was inappropriate and got past the filter.

It also could be so if a comment is reported for being inappropriate, the studio host/manager can't just delete it without the alert being sent (if the comment resulted in an alert.)

Hope this makes (some) sort of sense You can always report the comment to get it deleted if it's inappropriate-or contact the Scratch Team if it's another case that you can explain to them.

Yea, that's just the reason that was stated (Scratch Team members stated this). It was removed for secret messages.
