Ok, I get your point, but how would search querys work?Only works on one page per forum (and then you have to click to the next page), and you can't search more than one forum at once. Why should we not just ctrl + f ?
Highly inefficient when you're searching for one topic in a forum with thousands of pages.
I've no idea, since I'm not into website forum building.
However, to repeat what I said before, most forums of any use have such a facility as standard, it's part of the underlying basic software you used when setting up the forum in the first place. I don't expect you have to write much code to implement it, just flick a switch.
As BigNate469 said earlier, "DjangoBB certainly can- and the forums used to have a search feature (https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/discuss/search/ ) which is actually still used for searching for things like all of your posts and unanswered posts. For some reason they removed it.“
And, as michaeljackson1365 said, ”This would be really useful for checking that the forum topic you're posting isn't a duplicate, support."

search for the forums used to exist, but it is now unusable
it is technically still there because if you click “Show new posts since last visit” it has /search/ in the url
