I have one that I modded and it was literally the last 3ds my parents could find around christmas 2016 & it was preowned AND IT WAS FROM GAMESTOP. It works good besides the triggers recently breaking.

Maybe so they can mod it without having to uninstall anything if the person who had it was using an outdated verison of Luma or something.

I wish I could afford a 3DS nowadays they are too expensive

it's possible to do an automatic update with Luma. And it's easy. I did one a few weeks ago.

Base 3DS's are special to me cuz idk where id be without my red one (which im looking for SD card reader replacement parts to fix currently, long story)

Plus its the rarest shell color produced! A clean one in this day and age is already rare, but with modding being so easy and prevalent post-server disconnect I have a lot of looking to do.

ive had the red one since i was 6 and 3DS as a whole has been around me for quite awhile, I didnt start using online services until way past their prime because ive been a sheltered child most of my life, the XL is the one that made me love the 3DS as much as I do and is really what broke my shell to the internet and I went and did everything with it while my red one set the stage initially

got my N3DSXL Sun & Moon edition then as a replacement for the aforementioned red 3DS (which is on 11.16.0-49U!)

if it makes any difference helping yall understand why I want to fix it so bad, I never got to use it much as I wanted to as a kid, so the battery is almost out-of-box fresh!

Edit: I can't find any shells that fit the New 3DS base model. Guess i'll have to buy a donor shell and put a neat Litten foil over it and then call it a day.

yes I do! why wouldnt I? I use my XL as a workhorse but its getting bulky to carry, so I want something more transportable with a more sturdy feel im familiar to, plus its a showpiece!

While my XL IS modded, its just a QoL to me I can play CTGP7 on, Im a big believer in physicals of games & media
