what are the chances toby bases the knight off of the masked man (for those who don't know, the masked man was an antagonist in mother 3 who was the main character's brother but basically being mind controlled by the villain)

jokes aside most likely not since Kris doesn't have sibling or human parents we know about so that's really a big of a stretch

well I mean they have asriel but idk how many parallels exist (if any) between them and the mother 3 siblings (asriel and claus both use lightning but that could just be a coincidence)MOTHER 3 MOTHER 3 MOTHER 3 what are the chances toby bases the knight off of the masked man (for those who don't know, the masked man was an antagonist in mother 3 who was the main character's brother but basically being mind controlled by the villain)

But what about theories, does anyone have any Deltarune theories b/c I'm a theorist who theorizes that Deltarune is an alternate timeline of Undertale. “timelines starting and stopping” is a Sans quote in Undertale during his fight, also look at all the familiar characters and dynamics. Not to mention the anagrams. Ralsei is an anagram of Asriel, Kris is an anagram of risk, add an ‘f’ and that's Frisk, and Deltarune itself is an anagram of Undertale. Also, the emblem of the dreamurrs is called the delta rune. Another thing, look at Kris' dark and light world sprites, the light world sprite resembles Chara's shirt and there's a small portion of Kris' dark world sprite that resembles Frisk's shirt, not to mention that all 3 of them have the same soul trait. And, some of the tracks in Deltarune have some melodies similar to the ones in Undertale, like Dummy and Power of Neo can be heard in Big Shot, which does make sense with Spamton's character, now that I think of it. Also, the whole aspect of ‘the player’ is in both games, it's just more significant in Deltarune.

My main theory is that Deltarune is somehow a prequel to Undertale. There's an NPC in Undertale (I believe in one of the Fun events) who says that “Suzy” might be the reason Frisk came to the Underground in the first place, and is clearly referencing Deltarune when they say that. In the Switch version of Undertale, which was released right before Deltarune was, the NPC says something like: “The time to meet Suzy… is fast approaching.” This would also go along with something Toby Fox said about Deltarune: no matter what you do in Deltarune, the characters in Undertale will still have the ending that you chose. Somehow, no matter what you do in Deltarune, you will cause a human to fall into the Underground, which also fits nicely with Deltarune's theme of “your choices don't matter”. But what about theories, does anyone have any Deltarune theories b/c I'm a theorist who theorizes that Deltarune is an alternate timeline of Undertale. “timelines starting and stopping” is a Sans quote in Undertale during his fight, also look at all the familiar characters and dynamics. random theory: Goners are a third type of being between Lightners and Darkners, being a sort of neutral between light and dark either by having both or having neither. Assuming every Gaster follower is a Goner, we have a few ideas of what some of their properties may be:
- Ability to be aware of Gaster (Every Gaster follower talks about him and some imply his presence. Of course if people can remember Gaster but just choose not to talk about him because they don't need to, then this ends up not being unique to Goners)
- Ability to teleport/appear and disappear, either at will or randomly (Goner Clam Girl and one of the Gaster Followers disappear after being talked to, and every Gaster Follower as well as Goner Kid disappear when you leave their room I'm pretty sure, can't remember everything off the top of my head)
- Ability to mask their appearance (Goner Clam Girl appears normal before telling you the time you'll meet Suzy is fast approaching)
I'll go into potential implications of this later when I have more time

now that I've got more time, there's a few things to consider about Goners. for example, if they are a neutral point between light and dark, how is that? first of all, I'm almost certain that Goners do not exist naturally, and instead either a being is created with light/dark neutrality, or a being of light or dark is made to have neutrality. personally, I think both of these are true, as not only do we personally create a Goner (the Vessel creation at the beginning of Deltarune is internally referred to as Goner Maker, and the Vessel mostly lacks color just like the Goners we see in Undertale), but we also see seemingly normal versions of the Goners in both games. I theorize the Gaster Followers we see in Undertale were assistants of Gaster before his disappearance, and if Gaster was experimenting with darkness before his disappearance, maybe they were test subjects in one of his experiments. I think the Gaster Followers are Goners(I don't consider Goner Kid and Goner Clam Girl to be Gaster Followers because they don't talk about him and aren't internally referred to as such), and in one of Gaster's theoretical experiments with darkness, he had the Followers (and whoever Goner Kid and Goner Clam were originally) be injected with/subjected to darkness, which ended up turning them into Goners(note: I'm assuming that the humans and monsters in Undertale are Lightners). that's all for now, I'll go further into this theory later. random theory: Goners are a third type of being between Lightners and Darkners, being a sort of neutral between light and dark either by having both or having neither. Assuming every Gaster follower is a Goner, we have a few ideas of what some of their properties may be:
