Improve studio notifications
1/The idea
My idea is to improve studio notifications by making them available only to users who follow the studio. This would reduce unnecessary notifications and ensure that only interested users are informed about studios activities, by the same occasion, it will give a real utility to this button and keep the same logic on all the website (no notifications if you don’t follow)
2/Current problem
Currently, Scratch sends studio notifications without considering users’ actual interests, it causes:
-Scratch mailbox overwhelming
-Important notifications get lost in the flood of studios notifications
3/Some benefits
-Users would only receive notifications from studios they care about.
-Fewer unnecessary notifications would save server resources and ensure a smoother system overall
Sorry if this topic is a duplicate, I found nothing similar to what I suggest

1/The ideaNo, I don't like this idea, since you should get messages for activity when a studio you curate has activity.

And what about studios with many activity? And even if the studio doesn’t have many activity, a little is enough, replicated to a large amount of studio, you’re flooded by studio notifications No, I don't like this idea, since you should get messages for activity when a studio you curate has activity.

Improve studio notifications
Presumably you would want to get studio notifications if you curate the studio, since as a curator you would be playing an active part in the studio's well-being. Since curators have a larger role in a studio than followers do, it makes sense that curators would receive notifications but not followers.
I'm not opposed to a change in how studio activity notifications work, but I think there must be some other solution that doesn't just redirect the potentially-unwanted studio notifications to someone else.
As for a couple of specific points you make: note that there is already a “real” utility to following studios: the studio is displayed on your profile. Also, you state that a benefit of your suggestion is that “Users would only receive notifications from studios they care about”, but I'd assume that nobody would become a curator of a studio unless they care about the studio.

I understand your logic, but I doubt that most Scratchers view curating studios this way. From my perspective, many Scratchers become curators simply to easily find a studio they are interested in or to advertise their own projects without having to search manually. While some curators may indeed play an active role in a studio’s well-being, many others see curating as a convenience rather than a commitment. Presumably you would want to get studio notifications if you curate the studio, since as a curator you would be playing an active part in the studio’s well-being. Since curators have a larger role in a studio than followers do, it makes sense that curators would receive notifications but not followers.
Additionally, applying the same logic could be good, and it would allow you to receive studio activity without being curator
I agree that following a studio has some utility, but is it truly impactful? Displaying a studio on your profile is mostly aesthetic, and while it can be used to showcase banners, its practical use seems limited. Providing followers with relevant notifications would make following studios far more engaging and meaningful As for a couple of specific points you make: note that there is already a “real” utility to following studios: the studio is displayed on your profile.
As mentioned earlier, I believe many Scratchers curate studios primarily for convenience or to advertise their projects. Those who genuinely care about a studio and its updates could achieve the same goal by following it Also, you state that a benefit of your suggestion is that “Users would only receive notifications from studios they care about,” but I’d assume that nobody would become a curator of a studio unless they care about the studio.

Semi-support, because I curate and follow some insanely active studios and if this suggestion was put in place, this would actually flood the curators and followers of a popular studio with notifications of studio activity. Also, when you put a project, you just get a notification the moment you add the project. On the other hand, if you only curate/follow dead studios, you will get a few studio activity messages.. until that dead studio makes a comeback.

Removing studio activity is rejected though I wish it wasn't existent.

What I suggest isn’t rejected Removing studio activity is rejected though I wish it wasn't existent.

Removing them entirely is rejected, but in what I suggest, I don’t remove them, I simply suggest a system to send notifications to only those who follow the studio 5.1 Remove studio activity messages
Although they may seem annoying at times, they are rather helpful for some users. Removing such messages entirely does not have a clear benefit for everyone.

What about this: Make it so that you can enable/disable which messages you get. For example: You could disable studio messages if you don't like receiving them.

In my opinion it would be harder to implement a system like this than to simply send notifications when the studio is followed, what’s more, as I said, it will offer the same logic on all the website and give a real utility to the follow button in studios What about this: Make it so that you can enable/disable which messages you get. For example: You could disable studio messages if you don't like receiving them.
