Is spectre_specs a bot?

I am very scared to post this!

READ THIS BEFORE COMMENT:

Let me tell you why I think this…
THIS TOPIC IS NOT TO BE RUDE OR TO BE DRAMATIC! IT IS ONLY FOR CONCERN AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES! ONCE AGAIN! THIS IS NOT TRYING TO BE OFFENSIVE!

Here are 3 reasons to why I think @spectre_specs is a bot

1. Basic Signature
Sure, her signature is called Mod Squad and that’s basic, compared to other Scratch Team members like Paddle2see, cheddargirl and cosmosaura, spectre_specs signature is very plain.

2. Short comments
Comments like “Closing as Rejected” or “Closing as Duplicate” or any other short topic makes me believe that. In rare cases, she does type more to make further detail.

3. Few projects and enabled comments
What I mean by enabled comments? On their PROFILE! But not many projects are added and fewer projects is raising concerns to me that spectre_specs is a bot.

JUST TO MAKE YOU AWARE! I DO NOT FULLY BELIEVE THIS BUT THIS IS MAKING ME QUITE CONCERNED!

@spectre_specs is less well-known as some other moderators (such as @cheddargirl and @Paddle2See), mostly because they haven't been on Scratch for as long.

You might want to see why @Paddle2See's responses are often identical, and keep in mind that moderators are often short on time due to the huge amount of reports the receive, so it's far easier to just use the same message over and over than it is to write out an original one that says more or less the same thing a number of times.

But what spectre_specs can do is to:
 • Improve signature to be more detailed.
 • More detailed comments

Either can do.

I don’t trust the internet.

THE INTERNET IS A DANGEROUS PLACE!

Why bother? If they like it the way it is, let them keep it that way.

va04042013 wrote:

 • More detailed comments
Again, why rewrite the same point a few thousand times just to have “more detailed comments”? If a suggestion is rejected, “Closing as rejected” is a simple enough explanation of why the topic was closed. Why make it more detailed than it needs to be? They don't even have to post at all- much less provide an explanation of why they close a topic.

also you can use

list item

list item 2
syntax to put multiple items in the same list.

True, but I only use in a more safe way. Dangers are mostly about hacking and viruses as well as online bullying.

As far as I know, @spectre_specs is not a bot, despite her repeated use of certain messages like “Closing as duplicate”.

Sometimes, I copy and paste my responses to forum topics, but that doesn't make me a robot.
I assume @spectre_specs also copy-and-pastes her responses, or something like that.

I don't think the signature @spectre_specs uses is relevant here.
People can put whatever they want in their signature, and it doesn't make them a robot.
Same goes for the amount of projects she's shared, and the enabled profile comments.

Not a bot. Just doing a number of repetitive tasks that are often solved with a “boilerplate” comment. Just like all of us
