Welcome to scratch!
Scratch is block code…but would you like to learn something even cooler!
Table of contents:
1. What I'll teach
2. What to use this for
3. Teaching

1. I'm going to teach you text code! Did you see that? It's red! I used BBCode!
2. I'm teaching you text code!
3. Here is what I'll teach:
1. Basics:
Everything besides normal text will have brackets around themThe line with, at the end a line…I cannot show it cause it never shows in BBCode The first part of code will be the command the second will be the command with a /

2. Bold, italic, underlined, and stroke. Bold is the brackets with b in between them. At the end of it put brackets /b It should end up looking like this Word Italic is i with brackets same with the bold after text put /b with brackets. Underlined is the same as the others but with o. Stroke is with S

3. Colors:
To use colors you put brackets around the text and put color=redThis works with any color. At the end part put /color not /color=red

4. Quotes:
To use quotes put quote in brackets at the end put /quote

5. URLs:
To use URLs put in brackets url=Put url here. At the end you do /url but in between you put text so it takes you to the website an example is putting here as the word(s)

6. Size:
When you write text it's normal size to get it to be Big put big in brackets make sure to use slash at the end one. Small is the same as big but you write small

7. Images:
In brackets put img and out of the brackets in between both of them put the url.

8. Lists:
To make a list put list in brackets put text in between, every dot is added when you repeat this

9. Numeric list:
To make a number list in brackets put list=number that number is the number it starts with you must repeat this for multiple

Hello! It's great that you want to help out other Scratchers. However, I think we have enough guides in the forums at the moment. Please feel free to welcome new Scratchers on the group welcoming topic or on individual topics created by New Scratchers.

Other places that can always use more helpful Scratchers like you, are the "Help With Scripts“ and ”Questions About Scratch" areas - please use them as designed, by responding to topics created by folks with problems to solve

Finally, a really good place for Scratch guides is the Scratch Wiki - check it out and see if it's something you might like to work on. They have a number of guides - and great organization.
