Cabin Theme
A cabin centered around the musical (and now a movie!) Wicked! Campers are students at Shiz University, and eventually become part of a rebellion against the Wizard, to stop animals from losing their voice. Campers have to complete challenges together to help free the animals and, in the end, all of Oz!
(of course, this is just a base idea that we can make changes to at any time <3)

i've seen both the movie and the musical! i started reading the book a year or so ago, but it's an adult literary fantasy and i quickly realized that it wasn't my cup of tea

if the campers are students i'm assuming that the three of us are authority figures in shiz in some way — perhaps we could have an Animal professor, a Madame Morrible-type professor, and an overall principal? or the wizard
i'd love to see a trip to the emerald city at some point and / or the use of the yellow brick road, especially as they're super pivotal elements! plus then we could have a theme change which i've always thought really interesting <3
this might not fit with the storyline, depending on how involved it is, but i think more development on the classes could be really intriguing — shiz is obviously the foremost university and we barely get a glimpse of what makes it such an esteemed institution

in terms of cabin colors, i'm thinking emerald, obviously, deep blue as that features prominently in shiz uniforms, probably some gold too! sort of rich and vivid tones of green, blue, and yellow, i can pull together palettes if you'd like a clearer idea. there's also a cool web site (shizuniversity dot com) that could provide a lot of inspiration for thumbnails and stuff beyond the movie itself

not completely sure of anything aha- my knowledge on wicked is a bit limited but i'm willing to figure out the overall plot to help figure things out^^

I would share the link with you somewhere, and you would copy/paste it into your browser, it would be a shared sheet– upon others viewing it or seeing the edit history, they would only see “anonymous (animal)” listed, instead of any of your real name or info or anything, even if you use an email/google account with your real name on it! If you need more explanation just let me know and I'll try my best to re-word anything you need <33 I've used this system in Paranormal and Thriller and can promise it is 100% safe, still I completely understand if its something you or your family is not comfortable with <3

What if that's like where it ends? So like the campers have to use the yellow brick road and find the wizard in the emerald city to stop him? (or maybe we don't want spoilers to those who haven't seen the full musical?) But I think it would be so cool to have it as our final location(s)

I'd love to draw (quite a bit) of inspiration from this website ahaha- like I'd love to design pfps to look kind of like the Shiz IDs that they have (obviously not ai generated like those look sklfdj) and perhaps even arrange our cabin promo in the format of the welcome packet?

Ooo okay I've always wanted to try each having our own, maybe we can have like an “east wing” “west wing” (oop the beauty and the beast reference came in full force after that sklfdj) “north wing” or “south wing”? We would leave a cardinal direction out but that's fine

Or if you guys have any other ideas for themes that would be cool too!

That's totally fine- I'd just recommend reading some summaries online or watching some small clips that the movie released or looking at perhaps maybe a slime tutorial/bootleg that I'm sure exists somewhere on Y0utub3 ahaha <3

Some possible symbols (I'm just picking based on the vibe of each symbol and how I think it matches up with our cabin, feel free to suggest some other ones as well!): ☁ (cloud- kind of reminds me of Madame Morrible?) ♞ (animal, kind of self-explanatory based on our theme) or maybe like an ‘s’ like the Shiz logo? Idk I can't find any right now ahaha- if you guys have other suggestions I'd love to hear them!

that seems great! I think some colors similar to what’s in the movie’s poster would be good! I think pink also being in our color palette would be neat

Different locations at Shiz would probably also work! (Library, dining hall, dormitories, etc.)

with what our cabin's plot is, i think using ♞ as our symbol would be good!

I want to create a cabin where friendly competition is encouraged but campers can decide on if they will do dailies, weeklies, and other activities for points or work on personal writing projects.

my cabin would have twin goals of community and competition, where a well-bonded group of people motivates each other to strive for the top — of the leaderboard, and of their writing ability.

Honestly I really like the study, and I feel like it would really work with your sorceress-professor type character! You could just call it “The Study- River's WCG” or something along those lines, so you wouldn't get too close with the movie <3 Plus I agree with what you said that the Quad is like more a gathering space and stuff, so we might want to use that for something else further along the road? But in the end whatever you chose is good with me <33

Alright I'm here with some things I've been thinking about and some updates!

Storyline
So I was thinking that if we want to visit some other iconic Wicked locations, we could perhaps do like a realm-changing cabin like Paranormal November ‘24 and Fairy Tales March ’24, just to name a few cabins that have done that. What are your guys' thoughts on doing something like that?
Also- I was thinking it would be really cool to end up in the emerald city and have to like defeat/convince people that the Wizard has no real power or some big finale that helps free all the animals once and for all! I'm not entirely sure what this would be or if we want to include that specific spoiler to Wicked (but that is included in Wizard of Oz so it wouldn't be a huge spoiler, just that the Wizard is the one behind the animals- which is kind of talked about in the first part of the Wicked movie? But either way works <3)
So I was thinking that each week, the campers have an activity(s) that they have to complete, and when they complete it they help free the animals trapped in that specific area/location and one of the animals joins their cause. The more animals that they have in their rebellion at the end (so up to 3? I think? If we do a Shiz University one) end up helping them with the final challenge to defeat the Wizard or whatever we end up doing!
Also I was thinking if campers complete challenges early, they can complete extra challenges for cabin currency or something to help them at the end!

Cabin Currency
I don't know if there is any specific currency mentioned in either Wicked or the Wizard of Oz- but some symbols I thought might fit the vibe are these: ❃ (I feel like these really give off like a quirky ozian vibe!) ♦ (very simple but pretty! I feel like any style of diamond would work as well) ☆ (and again just a basic star)
I really like the first one, but if you guys have any preferences or suggestions I'd love to hear them <3

Cabin Relationships
Alana actually reached out to me for an alliance with Fan-Fi before I was able to message her about it sdklfj so I went ahead and accepted because that was something we had already talked about!
Also all cabins are automatically allies with TCTWNW, so technically we're already allied with Fairy Tales so I didn't feel the need to reach out to Reese <3
And Sage has talked to me about potentially being siblings with Myth? I'm on board with that if you guys are <3

Cabin Promo
Okay so we probably should get this out asap, seeing as cabin promos tend to play a huggeeee role in gaining camper interest! And campers who are looking at cabin promos are typically active campers, so being able to persuade some of them would be really good for our cabin I think!
What were you guys thinking in terms of what we should do for that? Of course we could go fully animation-drawing-art (which might end up being kind of time consuming so maybe not?)
Personally, I feel like something like this would be rather simple but still effective and pretty!!

Cabin Merch
aaaand cabin merch! I know both you guys were open to making pfps- what do you guys want to do? I'd love to have a style like the Shiz university dot com website Shiz ID's or the movie posters for the characters from the Wicked movie!! But if you want to do simpler icon pfps that would also work!
And I really love making signatures and stuff so could I perhaps do those? But if one of you wants to do them you most certainly can!

storyline
yes i love the idea of visiting iconic locations! maybe for the first two weeks or so they're at shiz, gathering allies, then traveling on the yellow brick road, and finally arriving in the emerald city for a final showdown with the wizard. i like the idea of these challenges — maybe they happen in the first two phases, and then the campers + their new friends join together as a last battle! do we think the “animals” would be other co/leaders or pure figments of the storyline?

i think it would be interesting to have an “acceptance letter” of sorts to shiz university as a promo (which then transitions into an overview of swc ofc) if you'd like i can try to do smth on canva!

i think a system where there were set hairstyles / outfits / expressions so we could just draw something simple and input it into a shiz-like background would work well — mildred, lmk what you think! perhaps we could collab as in one drawing bgs and one drawing people, etc.

OOO I love that! What if like there are a variety of challenges and campers can chose which ones to complete (when they are originally at Shiz)? Like there are like a couple of levels and some really easy ones that give them small rewards and then like bigger, harder challenges that give them bigger rewards! So that way the storyline isn't entirely dependent on completing specific things and instead the campers can chose which challenges they want to complete? Like some of the medium-level challenges give them an animal ally but bigger challenges give them like something they can use to help them on the yellow brick road or against the wizard? (if this makes no sense or would be too ambitious feel free to shoot it down sdklfj)
And I feel like it might be fun to have some co-leaders run some animal accounts? Maybe? I always love when campers can interact with characters inside the storyline!

I like that idea- one of you doing the actual people and the other doing backgrounds!
