I've been busy with my own personal life, so I haven't been able to talk here, but I started collecting CDs and vinyl. I have the 20th anniversary American Idiot CD and the Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge CD. I also plan to get vinyls of Milo Goes To College by Descendents and Energy by Operation Ivy. I hope I can also get my hands on Populuxxe.
American Idiot's a good album, but nowhere near Kerplunk or Dookie in my eyes
i'll be honest i havent really heard of those other albums but it's cool to see another person collecting CDs and vinyls
all the CDs and vinyls i own are normal rock music
Glad to see someone else collects CDs and vinyls. If you wanna, you could check out those other albums. Kerplunk is probably my third favorite GD album (my favorite is American Idiot and my second is Nimrod). I never liked Dookie as much as most of the other pre-American Idiot Green Day albums, but I do like it more than 39/Smooth and Warning. Dookie is a wonderful album, but it really is just the basics of what Green Day sounds like. Not as experimental as Nimrod, not as operatic as the rock operas, not as folk punk-y as Warning, not as raw as Kerplunk. It's a great album, but it doesn't do much to make it stick out to me. It has a good variety of songs with different feels and lyrical themes, but it feels safer than a lot of their other stuff.

I'm sure they're a good band, but they seem to be more of an alt-rock band than punk or emo

Might start a punk band, any name ideas?

My current idea is Star Platinum, and if you're a JoJo fan you'll understand why I'm naming a band after a Stand.

Or Japanese Baka

Seriously tho, just look at stuff you did when you were younger or something. I’m planning to start a band with the name “Katzegons” because of a species I made up when I was 11.
