Would an ai for games be a good idea??

I am glad that scratch is not adding an ai image generator; but speaking about ai, to be honest I kinda want an ai for scratch but NOT an image ai generator; more like an ai or one of those adaptational AI for games. It would be much easier to code enemies and other things. I think it would be an excellent feature for users who want to level up their games. You would access it through the extension feature in scratch (where the things like pen and text-to-speech things are). And it would be great if the blocks for the Ai extension were simple so beginners could understand. This could also help many people understand how AI works, and this could help them find a career if they are interested in AI, since they have a basic knowledge (cuz adaptational AI isn't only used for games in the industry world). What do you all and/or ScratchTeam thing about this idea??

By this do you mean sort of an ai to help you like find bugs in code and stuff? Because that sounds cool

no, like an ai that can be used for games. (but your idea actually sounds pretty good)

Don't. If we go there we'd have 5 year olds making projects as good as Griffpatch's with 0 effort, make the AI give hints or just let AI be nonexistent

Can you be specific about what kind of game AI? Video game AI is a very broad term, and they can't just make a magic button to add it without any specifics.

ok, so you know there are many video Games which use AI. For example, Mario Karts; When you play offline single player the other racers are CPU but they act like REAL players. They know how to use items and to who to use who them against. (The AI for video game doesn't have a specific name)(Also srry to the late answer. I was asleep lol)

Oh, I see! In that case, I think you should program your own AI for how an NPC should act. That's what the high end games do too. (i.e. coding it so your NPCs know how to act)

AI would be really good as it could help to spot mistakes and errors in the code also supplying suggestions and ideas.

Ai image making is already coming so it’s a bit late to suggest changes

I’m prolly jumping ship once that update comes if there’s no regulation on it or a disclaimer on projects that use it

No, that's already rejected.

Anyways, yes that sounds like a good idea. It is already possible with things such as grids and stuff, but this would be way easier.

I think it would help, it would make things easier sometimes or help newer Scratchers

Yes they did, but I just wanted to bring up that everything bad that AI art does can be done just as easily with normal art. Not really relevant because AI art is rejected but I still wanted to say it
