This is a good idea but it should still have the report button to stop inappropriateness. My suggestion is that scratchers be able to have 1:1 chats, (note, the St would still be able to comment anywhere and if they wished, change the commenting settings.) everyone can still see your comments, but you can choose to only message one person if you want to.Allows people to have a publicly visible and safe conversation without having random people chime in and make it harder to read and see the replies the comment gets. The implementation would be a drop-down menu under the text box, where you can multi-select from “Everybody, {Project} creator, person whose profile page I'm commenting on, and so on depending on where you are commenting.

When did I suggest removing it? This is a good idea but it should still have the report button to stop inappropriateness.

So basically like DMs? I think that is a good idea. It could be good for collaboration also. But it might lead to a few bugs in early states. Also one built in to projects would be cool too. But It would also need a way to be shut of.

You bump a lot.
Eh, half support. If this was only in the comments, sure.

It is only in the comments. As for bumping, I try to only bump once a day, but I don't follow a strict 24 hour rule. You bump a lot.

I half support! This would be really helpful for Scratchers who are popular/don't want random people intruding. Would we be able to do this with studios? Because what if this feature made it easier to exclude people?

Would this be everywhere? Or just project comments?

2. It shouldn’t make it easier to disclude people because you can only change the settings on individual comments, not all of them.

then do it on another platform! But the only way to do that is to know the scratcher in real life or break the CG and post your contact info. Then they should probably use some other platform. That's kinda the idea, to block people from replying except the ones you want to hear from.. ex. Griffpatch wants to have a conversation with Crystal keeper7, it would be impossible because everyone would comment on his post - like thousands of people would see it and comment.the guy you responded to understood the suggestion and was explaining the issue with how it could be potentially used to “block” people. The idea here is that you can have uninterrupted conversations with a user.
speaking of which, yeah, that could be an unlikely issue.
There is t really a good solution otherwise imo.
