In this scenario, it had millions of upvotes, and you can't report upvotes.

Plus, if you like the comment that much, say “So true” or something.

Also, this isn't social media, it encourages random, off topic comments. Comments are primarily for stuff like suggestions, not random jokes

I agree with all of this, and I do not want upvoting comments in Scratch. However, I want to be able to upvote forum posts.

Your example is flawed, you should report the comment itself.

What if we just sort by data and not votes? The problems will be fixed.

Can someone please explain to me how this suggestion is different from TOLORS 6.4? I think all the issues are pretty much the same.

The comments aren't anything fancy because they're not the focus of Scratch.

which is risky because you can report them.

No, I'm exaggerating, what could really happen if it was simple like “this game is bad”. If everybody believes so, they could upvote instead of replying “I agree”, as replying is risky and you might get reported. But if there is that one comment that's kind of true, and it is “mild” enough for the community, nobody would report it, sadly.

I would also like to add a like button next to the comments so that we don't have to answer every time with “I would too”.I would also like to add a like button next to the comments so that we don't have to answer every time with “I would too”

Very very good idea but I think liking forum posts would also be good

This would be a great idea. Sometimes, I want to have the commenter know that their comment has been seen, even if I'm not sure how to respond. Also saves time.

However, I did think of some issues that could come with a liking system for comments.
X Like beggars may come into Scratch, begging for likes on their comments, or even making doomsday posts for likes (i.e. saying that the world will end if their comment isn't liked). This is already a problem when it comes to project likes and favorites, but allowing comments to also be liked could bring even more beggars.
X People would make bots to give themselves more likes, making them seem more popular. Also already a problem with project likes and favorites.
X People may start drama over not having liked comments. Once again, a problem with project likes and favorites, but also people may get mad over not having many responses to their comments already.
Also, if this is added, it should allow only liking comments. No disliking them. The ability to dislike comments would cause way more drama than the ability to like them. And no, it doesn't matter if you can see who liked/disliked them or not. It can still cause issues potentially.

I don't really agree! People have fun getting likes and followers

This could be helpful for certain discussions. Maybe the best working results in Help with Scripts should be upvoted so people can see them easily?

Those comments could be on a profile basis, similar to advertising where people delete ad comments.

lm@o that is another example of the scratch team straight up lying, social media is the focus of scratch now and they know it
