Movies are extremely expensive. And when you read through scratch's 2023 tax returns it is troubling. why would scratch start a whole new project if they don't seem to have enough money at the moment

would this movie be made entirely in collaboration with a movie studio or with help from community members? i actually do see potential in a movie created by volunteers who are willing to help for a low price or for free, and not quite hollywood polish, to have their work posted on a scratch domain.

for some kind of movie theater showing, you can theoretically make success off of a super budget movie, like just below a million or ten million dollars, if it were to be put in theaters. but is there any demand for a scratch movie by the general public in that regard? by that point you can also release the movie on a streaming service where you don’t have to rely on movie theater companies to host the movie for you.
