It Would Be Cool To See This Feature

For Example, If You Live In GMT (like me) It will show it beside your Location on both

It is set manually

Before you say “I don't want people narrowing down my location”
The title says it is an option, you don't need to set it to you actual time zone or not set it at all

Would this show the user’s live time?

some users don't want to show their country, and showing their time zone can reveal their country if people are dedicated enough, so scratch team won't add this anytime soon…
see the below post by paddle2see for more information:

The title states that it’s optional—So this would not be an issue.

No, Just The User's Time Zone

Why can’t you just type it in in your About Me?

that about me uses valuable space

anyway, 24 different timezones, very easy to fit into a tiny integer without too much of an issue, sounds like additional resources used would be a drop in the ocean
furthermore, there seems to be no way that this can be abused and i really think this could be useful to users

as always i have some questions:
would this update based on the user's ip address? what about people who use a vpn?
what kind of metadata are we looking at in a user's web request?
upon further inspection there's a date header? interesting…
if we can break that apart then i suspect we can probably compare the time difference and then use something like UTC offsets which makes sense to most of the world
only concern is raised when user's clock is incorrect… i guess it's just their responsibility then

after much deliberation, as rarely as i say it, support! i don't think this would be super high priority though

It may seem like it wouldn't be that big of a resource usage, but expand that to 86 million users.

it only uses 5.6 gb of memory, possibly less with optimizations, since this assumes that updates every 0.25 seconds, i don't know though

Just wanna say that there are just a biiiiiiiiit more than 24 time zones.

I feel this would be a neat thing to add. Maybe add a live clock next to time zone name too, trim the second counter away if needed (so hour:minute).

I think it would make more sense to have it next to the user's county, like this:

It wouldn't have to update often—only if the user's location changes, if it's based off of that. OP stated that this would display their timezone, not their live time, so this would take about as much storage space as showing a user's location does.
