Different cloud variable restrictions[read first, not what you think]
Hello fellow scratchers. When you were a new scratcher did you find it annoying that you couldn't use (read or set) cloud variables in other people's projects? I propose that new scratchers with a verified email address be allowed to use cloud variables in projects that are not their own, such as a griffpatch MMO. Where is the abuse factor here? New scratchers could still not create projects with cloud variables, just use projects that already have them

How easy would it be to bot-create hundreds of accounts for the sole purpose of putting them into @griffpatch's MMO platformers, allowing nobody else to enter?

Hmm, I didn't think of that however, aren't there already methods in place to stop bots from using scratch ex. What if a bot created 500 accounts, got them all to scratcher status and then did that, sure this would make it a little easier, but bot prevention measures need to be in place regardless, and I'm pretty sure they are. Or just manually create the accounts. It may take some time, but it should be relatively easy to create hundreds of accounts. What isn't easy would be getting all these accounts promoted to Scratcher status, which explains why this sort of thing would only happen with New Scratchers.Hmm, I didn't think of that however, aren't there already methods in place to stop bots from using scratch ex. Ok, I guess that is true, however, isn't there already methods to make this hard? I don't know, but it seems like this can't be possible-your telling me someone can create hundreds of accounts? That seems like a critical problem that trolls could easily misuse even without my idea. Or just manually create the accounts. Second even if someone made 100 accounts, they would need a bot to run them, no pc can handle 500 tabs… Which brings me back to what I said above.

Logged out people were able to use cloud variables during the Scratch 2.0 beta (this wasn't really what was wanted though so it got fixed and it's easy to just create a New Scratcher account if that wasn't the case and this suggestion was implemented), and they were able to go on cloud chats to swear.

But the idea is that they cannot create projects with cloud variables, therefore, free chat shouldn't be an issue. But the idea is that they cannot create projects with cloud variables, therefore, free chat shouldn't be an issue. You are only saying “create”, however not saying “remix” or such. Although I'd guess you also mean that it'd be prevented even if the project was a copy or remix. (it doesnt have to oddly specific, not sure why i jumped this
Anyway; I'd say freechat is indeed still an issue - Just run a freechat project by someone, and you've already loopholed; you don't have ownership, but since this drops the New Scratcher requirement, the freechat becomes a place where new scratchers can go and break rules.
My wording is getting poor here but I think you get what I mean

But there shouldn't be any free chat projects on scratch anyways - or at least they should be hard to find. But the idea is that they cannot create projects with cloud variables, therefore, free chat shouldn't be an issue. You are only saying “create”, however not saying “remix” or such. I mean, that's already possible with new scratcher accounts, with a much easier way to do so. How easy would it be to bot-create hundreds of accounts for the sole purpose of putting them into @griffpatch's MMO platformers, allowing nobody else to enter?
